| It's something that comes through on a monthly basis throughout the year, so no we haven't used it all up but at the same time it's not going to "save" the club over the next weeks or so.

| It will be interesting to see how money sky lose through cancelled SKY SPORTS subscriptions if the RFL keep cherry picking who's in SL, and alienating seasoned rugby league supporters.
I know a few that will cancel although some just threaten to cancel to cash in on cheap sky offers.

| I don't think that the proportion of people who subscribe JUST for SL coverage would be anywhere near big enough to cause Sky any concern at all.

| You won't want to watch Trinity's televised Championship games? (assuming you don't get a licence in this year's round)

I watch enough other stuff to justify the cost and I enjoy watching rugby league even if Wakefield aren't on - I'd likely be there anyway!

Suspect it won't cause Sky any concern, same as it won't cause RFL any concern. For example, a 5,000 average is achievable for Crusaders this year. We will lose a two or three thousand if we go down. I make that rugby league in profit by a couple of thousand people than would be the case if Crusaders weren't there. Similarly with Sky. You might lose a few heartland supporters, but you pick up new ones elsewhere, and probably in greater numbers than you lose.

3076_1671446335.jpg SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

The thing is that if those sky subscribers and pub rugby watchers went to the games instead of watching on t.v then many of the clubs financial problems would not exist.

This may come as a shock, old bean, but there are more teams out there than Wigan, and so people are able to pay to watch their team and then watch other teams on the telly.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

18821_1298880800.jpg
I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.
Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
Therefore ZERO.
The same could be said for the majority of SL clubs , basically we have ' Sugar Daddy League ' , those with somebody rich enough to make up the shortfall survive ( because that is all any of them are doing ) , those without , fail
If Wakey drop down they might be able to become a sustainable Championship club , with no SKY money

Not much. Try cancelling because Wakefield aren't in Super League anymore and all you'll probably get is 'but look at our football coverage', Super League is totally dependent on Sky Money, and Sky Money is dependent on Premiership & Football League coverage. So Sky couldn't care less about a few Wakefield fans cancelling Sky.

Correct.
Although if it wasn't for Sky (or the football) then a few more clubs would have gone under and the majority would be part time.
Have you watch any games from the pre-superleague era recently? The game was shocking
