I for one am in favour of the "Young english player" policy, so from this thread, i came up with a list of players possibly in our target range... I'm not saying them all, but theres a few names on that list we could have a shot at.

| of co you are we have no choice. do you think JHk would really be doing this if he had a choice. I like the british young talent theme but i prefer local as well and davey and wildie are being pushed aside for the likes of Lee and smith its a disgrace. Wildie will be a far better player than smith but he wont get the chance under JK becuase he wont be given the chance. Our area is full of talented players who dont want to play for there local club and thgats something that needs addressing and the signing of jjp when we have cowling and murphy again a joke. second rate overseas player in place of emerging local talent is this not why we done away with relegation???????????????

There needs to be some caution regarding the players from last years 18's. To go down the road you suggest would result in us getting slaughtered - week in, week out - IMO of course.
Davey / Morton / Wildie have not yet shown enough to suggest they command a regular starting spot. The challenge is theirs - they need to look at Morrison and realise that most of what is required to become succesful (in any walk of life) is within each person. There is no trick, just hard work and application. They CAN do it, but it's too early to risk the club purely on them alone at this time. |

Both of these are obviously not English but what i would say is that they are both already based in England and below 30 so it is not as if we are bringing over expensive past it Aussies from the NRL. However, our quota is now full so any more signings that we make will be British. |

Ahh, Ohwell, hes a decent player and a good prospect for the future!
I honestly think Wakefield should try Karl Pryce, think he will do well at the club, 13 tries in 11 games, pretty good record. |

I was stood watching a game against Bradford with JK a few years ago, it was at Belle Vue and we kicked from a scrum in our own 20mtr area and Paul White murdered a very lathargic and slow looking Karl Pryce regathered the ball and scored.
JK was not impressed that day by Mr Pryce and unless he has seen enough to alter his opinion from then, I can't see him signing for Wakefield.

Been told he has already signed a two year deal, but the club arent gonna anounce it straight away to drip feed us good news over the off season. |
