| There are different theories and opinions on this 'forum' (I use that term loosely) as to who is really to blame for current situation.
We as a fans must shoulder some the blame, simply because we are too quick accept mediocrity. Other supporters of other clubs never seem to stand for it the way we do. When most of the other teams go on bad run the supporters voice their concerns as a majority but a Wakefield the supporters turn on each other.
Is it really wrong for people to expect better?
Supporters pay their money and should be entitled to have their say. Whether people like it or not a portion of the blame has to fall at Kears feet. People say JD is past it, Gleeson is the worse centre in the league and Blanch is nothing more than a championship winger. That may be true but who decided to keep offering contract extensions to these players. Like it or not, it was John Kear.
I don't believe coaches become bad overnight, they just go as far as they can.
Yes there has been disruption this season with Newton being banned, Tronc wanting to return down under and Brough leaving for more money (something which was always going to happen just a case of when). While these events have been difficult to legislate for they are certainly nowhere near as bad as last season.
I believe Kear should stay at the club in some capacity but maybe it is time for fresh ideas. The defeat to Bradford was our 200th in super league not a statistic we should be particularly proud of.
I can guarantee that many of the usual suspects will gang up and shoot me down for saying this and some will even show a complete lack maturity and reply with insults.
That is only one opinion and honestly I couldn't care less if it offended people.

| I think King Kear does need to shoulder some blame, he does have a blind spot to certain players.
I appreciate we are not blessed with depths of talent and its unfortunate that one of the brightest talents is having to cover at FB but it doesn't hide the fact that we have 3 or 4 average players in the squad who he seems to think are good enough for us.
As for Mr Cooke, I am sorry but he has had long enough to bed in... a very average kicking game and as far as I can recall one superb pass is all he has offered since he arrived. I imaging Hayley was getting sore hands catching the ball every kick off.

| Not the club or Jks fault that Newton was a bloody fool or that Tronc spit the dummy and got homesick not for the first time. Also nobody’s fault other than Danny Brough that he needed to leave for no other reason than money.
Add to that Morrisons injury
I could never see why we gave JD a two year extension should have being one and I said that at the time he’s being a great servant to the club but he’s knacked now
I would blame the board and JK for the signings of Cooke,Jeffries & Millard (yet another overseas player who has failed the club)
I would also point a finger at JK for keeping Gleeson,Latu & Blanch But with the limited amount of money available what can he do.
I will also mind any decision to sign a prop over a scrum half strange to say the least
I also point a finger at Mr Richardson ref jobs for the boy’s etc poor gates due to a lack of marketing, etc etc
At least we have appointed James Elston
Having sais this its only a slump yes it may well have ended a season that offered so much hope but providing the new stadium is delivered and signings made in the closed season in key positions the future is still bright providing we get a new SL licence.
This is just a slump look at Salford,Quins and HKR a few weeks ago they could not buy a win
Then there is always Castleford
Time to keep our chins up and back our team nobody has being down in the dumps more than we this season but its time to snap out of it and look under the surface

| Injuries to key players? Players not trying hard enough? Some of JK's tactics not paying off?
I doubt its just one thing but probably a few.
To be honest I dont care who is to blame, I just wanna know its gonna be removed and we start to win
again - soon! ! !

Agreed it is impossible to lay the blame in one place.
1 major risk that has had significant repercussions in my opinion is running with a smaller squad of experienced players. In hind site the risk clearly had not paid off, but the circumstances around players leaving have been unusual.
It is a group effort when things are going right and it is the group that needs to respond when the chips are down, if they as a group of players and coaches can urn this situation round then they deserve to keep their jobs, if they can't then there has to be a change, how long they have is up to the BOD, but i would guess time is starting to run out for some members of the team (both coaching and playing.)

| I think you are missing the bigger picture here.
As an example, saying we have lost 200 games is just throwing in a stat for the sake of it and not understanding what it means.
Since we have been in Super League we have
Played 319
Won 117
Drawn 2
Lost 200
Win percentage 36%
Without John Kear it was 31%
Since John Kear has been at the club
Played 100
Won 48
Drawn 0
Lost 52
Win percentage 48%
Before the bad run he was at 50%....that is a regular play off place.
There is a long way to go before anyone can say Kear is not good for this club.
Basing decisions on the future of the club on 5 games, or even 14 so far this year is showing a lack of understanding of how to run a business as big as this.
Along with that I'd say even disregarding the players leaving the club, if Morrison had been playing we would have won the last two games. It's just a slump. It will change and then change again before the season is out.

Thats down to funds available and players who JK feels he can get value from, its all very well every tom, dick and harry saying sign x x x players but the players we have fit the budget we have.
Just how do we fund JK and a new coach? not saying the ideas totally wrong but who can we afford and who would want the job with no money to spend on bringing in his own players.
IMO we are in a big hole and its getting bigger but how we climb out i don't know.
By that you mean posters who disagree on a forum. Poor form that to be honest.

100% agree with this bit and to add onto the that, what a greedy, selfish, glory-hunting person he is. Definitely past it.

| john kear is to blame for the poor form.
bad signings this season
newton drugs cheat
morrisson sicknote
millard sicknote and frankly disappointing
tronc ??
johnson and kirmond promising
we have released our two main attacking options in brough and atkins.
however on the field the weakness is the same every week, dreadful defence down our right hand side. but still nothing changes.
the longer this continues without players being booted out the less credibility jk has
