| Heard a whisper this morning he has had fall out with TM.. From what i have been told (and you never know how true these things are) there were stern words after Friday night, and Steve was dropped for the Saints game.
For me this encapsulates all the great things about our coach, he has an ability to get the extra 10% out of players.
Under JK Steve moved on in leaps and bounds, yet seems to be regressing week on week now.
Which leads me to think if this is true could he do a job for us?
- Has he once again moved "full circle" and become another JK project?
IMO he was signed over his market value, hence why he chose to move to Cas. If he has had a fall out and TM doesn't want to know maybe he might be willing to part company in order to free up wages, if we could get him at an acceptable value then maybe... But with the size of the Cas squad, and their current injury lists if TM and WR are willing to part company with Snitch that could be very risky for them unless they too have plans ready to spring into action?
As i said we never know how much truth (if any) are in these stories, but, IMO this is what forums are about, a place for the fans to come and "chew the gristle" so to speak.

| Perhaps we could persuade him that he's homesick for the Portacabin that he called home for a while during is first stint with Trinity, then he could be snapped up for next to nothing.

| As good as Snitch was for us and i didn't want him to go a 3rd stint at BV would be too many and dont forget he has chosen to leave us already on two occasions. Signing him would sen out the wrong message to the other players and the fans. His career is his problem now. Plus we have reasonabke cober in the back row now with Fergie, Kirmond, Johnson, Morrison, JD, Hendo etc

| he can at a push cover the front row with the right coaching as we know, which was my main line of though with Troncs leaving.

That was my thinking too. It irks me that he has jumped ship twice now with, it seems, little thought but he has been a good player for Wakefield and one can not be petty over these things. Even if its for just one season he would provide competition for places in the back row and cover for the front row.

| I'd have him back, but he's not going to come, and cas aren't going to release him, so for me no point discussing it.

Well we used enough bandwidth out of the apparent ‘will he, wont he’ Wiki saga, so no harm with discussing something a little more realistic.

KK! I applaud you and must pay gracious respect to you!
Not because of your post particularly......but for the use of the word....IRK! Among the grammatical Neanderthals and poetically inept you are a lyrical oasis in the lexicon of chaos that is RLFans!

| Or maybe he was injured - or even rested with the two games over the weekend (oh, and the third game in a week this Friday).

Like i said I don't know how much is in this, just passing on what i heard to a wider community.
With Steve's form this year the question should be "would we want HIM back".
Although much of his decline this year can be attributed to "Mr Mattersons Wonder Coaching Workshops"- "Win and you get a ride in the digger we bring along from diggerland"- works well in principle, unless you have Dean Widders in your team, they've broken 3 scoops and 4 arms trying to elevate him after the last win- (he's not really injured you know, just on strike until he gets his ride in the digger!!)

I wouldn't be so boring but facts are more important than idle Wakey fan gossip.
