According to Radio Leeds we have signed him on a 1 year deal, up to JK, Beans & Colin S. now. If he`s good enough for JK he`s good enough for me.

Sky Sports News and Talk Sport and Wakefield Express reporting the same. Not surprisingly nothing on club website. My first thought is why have we not had a similar message by now on Johnson? Should we read anything into this?
Second thought is one year makes sense in light of physical condition but if anyone can make do and mend it's King Kear.

I think it's fair to say if stosic had not cocked up with his passport PK probably would not have much of a SL career left!
I hope he sees this as his demascus moment and keeps out of the boozer and gets his head down.

I think a 1yr contract is long enough untill he can prove, he is over his injuries and his passion to play in the Red,White and Blue of the Wildcats...

Not wanting to be overly critical but can all of you who are now posting that this one-year contract is a good deal remember that in a years time if he has a blinder and sonmebody steals him off us.
In my opinion one-year is the right thing to do but don't be surprised if he rediscovers his form and other clubs come sniffing.

Quite possible, but it gives the club another year to find a prop rather than 1 month. Stosic may have his Serbian passport by then!?! |

Its difficult to win either way with 1 year deals and without knowing details of the offer we can't really comment.

I hope he makes it with you. Much better to see you playing an English prop than an Aussie/Serbian/Kolpak player.
He & Moore alternating could give you good go forward, defensively not so sure.

I am not being critical at all, I think 1 year is the right thing to do.
I was just pointing out that knowing some of our fickle fans who like to moan a lot they will be singing the clubs praises for signing him on a 1 year deal but then moaning like crazy if it does work out and then we lose him. In the same way that they would have moaned if we had given him 2 or 3 years and he works out to be past it. |
