| Knew about Drew but the Daily Express claims that Castleford are close to sealing deals to take both Brad Drew and Tony Martin for next season.

The Express printing RL stories? Must have been a slow day on the immigration and Diana stakes!

Mentioned here in the week, although as it also said Rooney was off to Cas I wouldn't view it as 100%. Maybe the lure of a family pass to Diggerland is just something we can't compete with.

| Either that or they are confident that the deals are going through. Looks like Castleford are going for age next season, they may take JD too.

There is no doubt an immigration angle for them. Latu's visa renewal?
Anyway, you forgot house prices. Not that I think the Express would be concerned with those in Cas.

When will you learn, the fourth or fifth time? Then again, I'm sure I've said similar about various away games and still gone back.

Im sure JD would never go to c** while he's still got a contract here, im not going to comment about drew, but i am led to believe they are intrested in martin.

Why not commenting on Drew? Do you know something?

| Strange how Drew never plays against his old club the Giants dont you think? Who would blame him for taking a final hefty paycheck given that he will prob only play for one more season. I am surprised about Martin though?

| It sounds to me that Drew is a player that has a shelf-life at every club before someone falls out and he leaves. Maybe his date has passed at Trin? Still a shame if he goes.

| Don't know why Drew would want to go, except ifthey are offering him a longer contract than we would.
From Cas point of view, why sign a player on his way out and waste the money. They are building a good young side but will just take time.
I'd like Drew to stay but to be honest would not want him more than 1 more year, and that would be heavily weighted to playing time.
There are some good hookers around at the moment. If I had the money and could choose, I'd let Drew go and get the guy from Harlequins. (though for the life of me I can't remember his name), assuming I can't have any of the Saints hooking team (any of them would do)
Hull have some good young ones too but hooker is so important these days he needs to be one of the leaders in your team and good at his job.
I can see why people are thinking of Newton but not for me. Kear good with young hot heads but he's been round too long to change now.
