Was a shining light for us during some dark days and stuck with us despite plenty of opportunities to leave, reportedly for a nice wedge more than he could have got here. The quality he had at his best deservedly got him in the dream team and onto the fringes if the England squad. Captained the club well over some choppy waters also. For me will go down as one of our best ever superleague players and one of the loyalist to pull on the red, white and blue. Thanks and good luck Kirmo.

My absolute favourite Kirmond moment was away at Hull either 2013 or 2014 when Hull broke and Danny ran 80 metres to try and stop them from scoring. I think he actually managed to catch up to the Hull player (Shaul?).

Players are often over hyped once they have gone, I don't think this is the case here. He has been a great servant and an outstanding player for us and he should be very proud of how he conducted himself on the field.

Right back to when he came to us on loan from Huddersfield, he set the bar very high when plenty around him didn't look interested.

Always gave 100%, even when he should have sat it out, and a top bloke to boot. He'll be a great presence at York.

Well done Danny. A great servant to the club. Just a shame all those injuries restricted your appearances somewhat. Good luck at York.

As time goes by it's easy to forget how good Kirmo was for such a long time. Injuries towards the latter part of his career didn't help but then again he always put his body on the line so it's no surprise he got injured. When other players bottled playing in our CC Semi he stood up to play and make the numbers up when he should have been nowhere near the squad due to his injury. Shows you the character.
He's certainly had a good SL Career and whatever he does next, I hope it's a success.
