Hi guys, there is a massive rumour around Hull that Richard Agar will be your new coach next season as he is getting paid off at FC would u guys be happy with this appointment?

I wouldn't be happy with Agar but from what Elston said at the fans forum Agar wont be our next coach but I guess you never know.

As already been mentioned on other threads a big fat [sizeNO[/size. He underachieved at Hull despite having a decent budget to work with.

I got the same impression that her was not coming to us.

JE didn't exactly say we wouldn't be getting RA.

He did however describe the attributes of the coach they had identified. None of which fit with RA in any way.

These attributes included being a relatively unknown & having a strong background in youth development. Would you say these attributes apply to RA?

i would say where going down same old cheap route then as in many a past season and promoting from within and it will be tony durey.not saying its bad as i know nothing about him but cant say i would be excited

As I posted on here last week, I spoke to a source VERY close to Tony Drury, who told me that he WAS offered the job, but has turned it down, as it is too much of a step up from what he is doing now.

Can't see why we can't attract someone with pedigree this time. NM on the horizon, BV getting tarted up and 3 years of safety with a motivated Chairman to secure more.

I'm probably selling us short labouring the point about WP.

I was informed yesterday that the club have an 'exciting' list of applicants for the post and that a shortlist will be drawn up shortly.

Any speculation or rumours of appointments are exactly that at this time.

This is a vital appointment and will have serious implications on where we stand when we apply for our next licence in 2014. Fingers crossed that we get the right man for the job!

Only issue I've ever had with water down at Belle Vue is a stagnant one. Nothing a little hardcore wouldn't have sorted out though! So no need to consult old Avram about it.

Being a good assistant doesn't mean you become a good coach. Tony Smith (our version). Jimmy Lowes. Richard Agar. Need I go on.

Willie Poching might be the next Wayne Bennett, but it is more likely that he will be the next Jimmy Lowes.

The NRL assistants seem different, however, and Gentle would not be against a UK move, by the sounds of it.
