| Unless Harry Bowes is injured i don’t get this. Give our own lads a go before other clubs youngsters.

| 2 players on 2 week loan deals? Chester really isn’t endearing himself to the fan base with these head scratching decisions, unless of course there’s also a spate of injuries amongst our younger squad members. Chester spoke specifically at the end of last season regarding how beneficial it had been to have blooded a number of junior players.
Do these short term deals cost us anything financially?

| Might as well scrap the academy now then if we’re going back into feeder club status.

Depends on the deal agreed but ususally it's a case of us effectively paying his wages for the duration.

| So we bring in 2-2 week loan players and send a centre that’s had as much experience as either on loan , makes lots of sense

| Mary M you may be baffled by this so imagine how the youngsters feel. Unless our younger players are injured I think decisions like this will probably make the in house players think twice.
Why is it that our club seem totally against promoting our up and coming players while other clubs select them. I can not think of another SL club that s the same attitude, totally unacceptable.

| Knee-jerk reaction from some on.
Bowes is 19, this lad is 23, unless the game has changed beyond recognition in the last few years that makes a huge difference.
Added to that he's been training with the best team in SL for years, are we seriously suggesting at this point in his career Bowes is a better option? Seriously??
Also what makes you think this isn't a precursor to a future signing.
Let's just see how he goes first, before judging.
Also, it's hardly the end of Bowes career is it?

I’m getting fed up with some posters on here. It’s any excuse just to have a go at the club or the coach lately.
We have all our full backs injured and bring in a full back short term and people find an excuse to have a dig.
We have been complaining about our lack of options at 9 and we bring one in and the club get slated.
I would also like to see Bowes more but he’s 19 with limited first team experience. The club saw some potential to offer 3 years but he may simply just not be ready and a work in progress for the future. I’m sure the club have Bowes best interests at heart.
As for a Croft! The lad needs game time. I’m sure he’s the natural replacement for Tupou next season but he needs games and we currently have 3 fit experienced centres. Do you really think there wouldn’t be a clause to call him back?
Every move the club make there seems plenty of fans willing to jump on its back.
