| What a second half performance we really pulled it together. What a way to kick off the new season! Thought Smith deserved MOTM, did some great attacking displays but also in defense where many said he was dire, however thought the whole team put the effort in! Hope Collis's injury doesn't rule him out next week!

| Smith had a poor 1st half but as the game went on he got better and showed some real class at times with his distribution. Hes got to learn though he plays for wakefield not leeds, thus he wont get away with those 50-50 forward passes. Once it warms up i can see us having a real go at the top 8 this season. Well done to agar too his teamtalk at ht had the perfect affect.

| I think it's hard to pick a MOM from that game, everyone put the effort in. I thought we looked very 'Warringtonish'! Everything seemed to click when Wood came on.

Hence the 'ish' Pace was just outstanding at times, so was the defence!
I think the RFL chose the wrong whipping boys last night!

Not really the case. Wood came on and instantly cost us a try. However he recovered very strongly and had a great game and justified his selection. That said we were clicking right from the start, we just had to wait 60 mins for a massively enthusiastic Widnes to run out of steam. Aiton in particular was massive all game, what an engine he has.
Credit to Widnes but for me we were a class above all day long.

| That was a very good display, enjoyed it from the kick off. Working in Essex and found a great pub to watch it. The whole team seemed very solid and gave 100% . Never been a big fan of Mathers, and when he watched the first try, i couldnt understand him not going for the ball. But a big effort and a good following. Well done.

| Think our lighter and more mobile pack helped us last night, our fitness levels seem a lot better than last year

| Only thing that worries me is that we can't defend with intensity all season, and we will play better teams than Widnes. Great to see them throw it around and be spontaneous. Attack-wise, we look good. Defence-wise, we will depend on enthusiasm, and that wanes eventually.
We looked good though, and there seems to be a lot of team spirit.

| Bloke sat a few seats away from me after 14 mins "Different season, different pitch, same garbage rugby". Bet he was gutted to see us turn it around. What a tool? What enjoyment do these idiots get from the game?

| was a good win but lets not get carried away with wow lol . they are going to be the whipping boys this season. first half widnes should have being up by 30 with all ball they had better team would have being . Second half the ref gave us 9 penalty's on the bounce with out giving them any. Its a known fact last nights ref is from normanton and a very big wakefield fan, and widnes and there best two players out . we will take two away points but start saying wow when we beat a top eight team lol
