| I'm always interested to find out from how far and wide our supporters travel to see our great club. I'm Alverthorpe born and bred but moved to Cheshire in the 1970s. My dad and I often travelled to games when we lived there and I moved back ' home ' in 1989 and as he doesn't drive it's difficult for him to get to games even though he still loves to come. I was down there yesterday and mentioned how I'd seen on the forum we have fans all over the place who regularly travelled and he was fascinated and probably thinking " Is there anyone close to me who regularly gets over to see the games " ?
Can anyone enlighten us as to distances travelled or areas in which we have fans, just people who moved to a different area but continue to support the Mighty Trin from far and wide. I think I've seen a Kent Cat, Worksop Cat and even a Frog Cat and apologies if I've missed any true long distance travellers but, Cheshire Cat Anyone ?

| That's very interesting LG83, do you go to the games regularly? do you originate from Wakefield? Whereabouts in Cheshire do you reside?

| I'm a Stanley boy so not far......but have been to every ground in the other direction.
Can't think of any grounds I haven't been to (maybe one of the London grounds when they moved around)
Have been to all the Cumbrian grounds many times.
Followed them around the lower divisions so covers a lot of grounds but mostly around the M62 of course.
Have seen Wakefield at Mansfield (Marksmen) Gateshead and of course Sheffield in the Owlerton dogtrack days....anyone there in those days?

| Well that's fantastic LG, I will have to tell my dad, he will be amazed and pleased that there are people living nearby ( he's in Crewe ) and we must get together at one of the games and swap some stories. My dad saw all the glory days, he was born in 1943, and I went regularly from around 1977 until we moved to Crewe in 1979. Since I came back to live in Wakey ( though am in Emley now ) I have ended up having to go alot of the time on my own as it's just not easy for him to get when he can't drive. Knowing that we have long distance fans really makes me proud as I did it for so long before moving back and I like the way your dad has introduced you to Trinity just like my dad did for me and I have done to my boy.

| Nice to see you've travelled Pop Tart, I've been to many grounds over time, a memorable one (not) in the lower leagues when I lived in Crewe was Runcorn, I remembered they played in Green and Orange and we won the game but what a dive, Canal Lane I think?

| I think anyone who travelled more than 1 yard last season deserves a medal.

| When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it might be a suggestion on how to tap into a potential new group of supporters; a Big Fat Gyspy Rugby League Team, if you will.
