| Over the past few months I too have been a little down hearted with the team performances, whilst Mr Kear has to shoulder a little of the blame it cant lie entirely at his feet.
True his tactics leave a little to be desired in the modern game but he still remains one of the best for spotting talent and nurturing the youth of our wonderful game.
So how about finances permitting, Mr Glover relinquishes his role of coach and makes him director of Football to continue his work as father figure to the young whilst at the same time handing over the reigns of Head coach to Beans or dare I say bringing Willie poaching back and giving him the opportunity to prove himself as Head coach.
He kept us up when we feared we would go down, he took us to a challenge cup semi true we are in the doldrums at the moment but as I say lets not be so harsh
Just a thought.

Sorry but IMO that is plainly wrong. I would argue that none of our young players have benefited under Kear - in fact he appears to have no faith in most of them, thats why he continually picks senior plays who aren't performing or brings in stop gaps signings like Tadulala.
His gameplan also stifles any natural ability that they may have from being used. IMO some of our young players games are going backward under Kear

| The word nurturing means to treat them with care thus prolonging their potential to play the game for many more years, I remember a time during the great TOPPO era when young players just got thrown in at the deep end and ended up having shorter careers because of it.

| Get your facts right mate. Our junior talent is down to Tony Drury and others ,very little to do with JK.

I know what nurturing means it means "encourage the of development of", the best way to do this is get them playing in the first team when they are ready and are better than some of the experienced players, allowing them to do so using their natural ability and the skills they have learnt from U9's onwards. Yes by all means give them a rest every now and then if there a young prop or whatever, but the backs don't get the same kind of punishment.
I don't see playing people who aren't doing anything to justify the shirt over them as nurturing them, I see it as a kick in the teeth.

| point taken about Peterson I too had to endure that and the fact that he was injured and had he not of been on the field those soft try's would not have been scored.
But still had he not been at the club we would have never got the chance to witness a certain Mr Brough who it has to be said looked up to our coach.

Like Tricky, I totally disagree with that statement.
Mr Kear is actually one of the best at trading on past glories and relying on players who have brought him success in days of yore; his handling of young player is, in my view, one of his biggest weaknesses.

That's actually a good point - I wouldn't be against him sticking around in a Director of Football role, with responsibility for PR and maintaining a media presence; they love him, he's good at it and if we stay in SL, I'd say it's a viable role.

Just my opinion Al, but if someone gives me some examples of young players whose careers have developed for us under Kear I will be happy to discuss.

| Beans? Poching? Surely these would be seen as backward steps with untried first team coaches? Also Willie has been asst coach at Leeds and Wire, he is in a different coaching league to us - he has all the resources he needs to have. We simply do not. Yet.
Kear is under contract to the end of this season as first team coach. I do not see the benefit of moving him upstairs if a new guy is going to come in and make his own changes. He would be wary of Kear looking over his shoulder and possibly seeing the changes as criticism of his own choices previously. A fresh start is more beneficial to the club in my opinion. New franchise, new ground, new era, new coaches.
