| It'll be both a shame and a relief if Solomona went to Union.
Powell would probably Spring a surprise replacement, someone like Will Sharp.

| Both Hull KR's Ken Sio and Josh Mantellato have been linked to them

| The rumour is rife on our forum. It has been a while and your guess isn't far away
Somewhere between 300-350k
I did actually raise the same question about his replacement and yes I did "hypothetically" mention a certain young winger who has shown alot of promise in his first proper season.
There are other names being banded about aswell.
From the "rumour" Sale have tripled what Cas offered him in wages....which was speculated to have been a significant sum.
No brainier really
Denny was a good finisher and at times mesmerising to get the ball over the line.
Dorn is a bigger void to fill as him and Gale created havoc on the left hand side.
I'm sure Powell and Co will invest the "alleged" transfer funds wisely.
It will all come out in the wash but names branded around are Mcgillvary and Hardaker.
But then it's silly season so take anything you hear with a pinch of salt.
We did struggle at times last year especially with long term injuries to key players but we'll be competitive again probably more so with a good bill of health
I hope you find your feet again like your mid season form and have a competitive team in 2017.

Mantellato would be a decent option for them.
He's been excellent for KR and kicks goals for fun as well.

| Having seen a few Hull KR games in the middle 8's I think Mantelato has struggled to some extent since his injury problems and has only looked a shadow of himself

| You have to remember that Jack Foulton was putting 2 or 300,000 pounds into the club every year to cover the operating loss / shortfall and allow Cas to compete and retain the services of some excellent players. Mr Foulton sadly passed away fairly recently, I believe his son may be involved with the club as the Foulton loans are secured against the ground, did I hear that that was in the region of two million, I could well be wrong on that figure. Box is going to gift Cas their new ground, so when the sale of Weldon Road goes through The Foulton Family will recoup their loans, they may well invest this money back into the club, who knows. That said I understand Mr Foulton Junior is perhaps not as keen as his father was to cover the shortfall year on year, with this in mind the money they get for Solomoania my well assist they cover their operating loss this year. I think from the last set of published figures it is only Leeds, Wigan, Catalans and Hull that at least broke even ( these figures were at least a year or two out of date as clubs had not filed accounts ) so every other club was relying on a sugar daddy or cutting their cloth to suit.

Clearly you have an insight into the financial arrangements between the Fulton's and Castleford Tigers, which I might add I'm not disputing as personally I don't have a clue.
There is however one question I would like to put too you, if your information is anyway true why did the Fulton's allow the club to go within half an hour of going out of business as admitted by their CEO Steve Gill, who subsequently had to sell Darren Clarke to survive, just curious that's all.

Cas approached the Fultons and were refused as they had already been to that well for extras earlier in the season. The deal to sell Clark was already done and the money in the pipeline, they just expediated the transaction in order to dig the club out of the hole they were in.
My information is spookily similar to that of Belly's

They can't have been in that much trouble if the money they got from selling a 48 year old golfer was enough to bail them out.

"Unless you're just obsessed with accumulating posts", said the man with over 6000 posts to the man with less than 150.
