After a week break while the world club series games were played we've got Widnes away. We have a 100% win record since they joined SL. Hopefully we keep it after we play them on Sunday but its going to be a tough game. Same team for me this week after a good quality performance against KR.

Last time I went to Widnes was a Wednesday night game and we had signed Tommy Gittins from Wire.
Got some free tickets off Ian Jowett, he used to work at pit and my dad knew him.
Got pumped 50-0 that night, what a way to spend a Weds evening!

What would be interesting is, if we win this game, we would go into the match against St Helens on a 100% record (it'd be only 3 games but that didn't stop Cas crowing about it) which would make that match an interesting viewing for those watching on Sky.

Hope you bring a decent following seen as on a Sunday daytime. Should be a close game and i am hoping we get the monkey off our back and win.

On paper it should be your easiest game so far but that plastic pitch is a great leveller. Don't know if its as bad as it appears on tv but it looks like a threadbare carpet.

My car will be full Sunday and one of my lads is off in another carful, hoping for a similar result/performance to the last few visits to Widnes and for once I think we have a kicking game that we can exploit on that bouncy pitch

Another massive game for us (and Widnes), a win for Wakefield, not only gets us 2 valuable points but, it stops Widnes getting them !

I'm nervous, as I think we will win and the favourites tag never sits comfortably with us.

Brown is back for them which is a great boost for Widnes.
As with Hull KR we'll have to be on our game but they are similar to us in a lot of ways and it will be close.
They need the win as much as we do.

Disagree with it being a leveller, as it is the same for both teams. It is an excuse when teams lose.

No it's not the same they play and train on this surface no other clubs do.

Disagree it is a fast pitch and top sides like Leeds have won well at Widnes. Widnes have also won on grass, because won away games too. So bull excuse and wake yourself up.

Oh every team we play are training on grass, and it is a leveller for our away games.
