Thought I’d start off with the match day topic.

What are people’s predictions for the game score, line up etc and what do we want to see on or off the pitch?

My prediction is : Trinity 48 - Fax 14.

I would like to see Langi and Proctor debut and some players who missed out vs Leeds. Players such as Tanginoa, Hall, Taufua, Lineham.

Think it’s important players like Eseh, Windrow and Bowes get some minutes under their belts too as these friendlies will be invaluable to their continued development.

Perhaps a mix again of first and fringe players for this one with one or two young lads coming on second half.

Would like to see more of Atoni and Smith.

It would be interesting to see where Mash plays Smith. Wonder if he will want another look at Smith/Gaskell partnership or will alternate them again.

What are people’s thoughts on this?

Been thinking about this game… assuming another 21 player squad… I think (with games against Hull and Fev coming up) I would go with the following team

Pratt, Tafua, Hall, Lyne, Lineham, Langi, Butterworth, Butler, Hood, Eseh, Windrow, Tanginoa, Proctor

Law, Battye, Kay, Atoni, Roberts plus a couple from the reserve/ academy pool

Rather see Butterworth at full back than Pratt. Pratt will likely end up in the centres.

Think the 3 halves in Lino/Gaskell/Smith need to play every game so we can see the combos. That’s the biggest question that needs settling for me.

I like that.

They are either disasters or gems, we used to get a lot of A N Others in the old days. Is he perhaps a Union lad? B very rare these days to find one from the amateur ranks.

Probably OT but how many A N Others have we had who've made it.

Andy Wilson was one.

I think it could be Jordan Schofield who was in our academy a few years back.

Think he was/is a front rower about 22 year old if it's the same lad

Well for the first time in nearly 50 years of watching the Trin I’m going as a guest with my son to have the full mashings up in the gods as part of a raffle I won for the game on Sunday courtesy of Richard whitehead and his marvellous work with the bingo and raffles he puts out , all going to the club may I add . Might get a taste for the high life and make it a regular feature of my game day experience. Or maybe not and stand where I always have, now with my kids n grandkids

If it is he looks useful and of course Mash will know him well.

He's big in these video clips, but they are from 2019/2020 so I assume he's bulked up since. Be interesting.
