Why have we got players in the 'squad' that have not yet been confirmed?
Assume these are speculation

At this point the are speculation and will be altered.

We need to tie up Johnson and Hyde on longer deals, as well as Cowling and Trout if they go well next year.

In this week's W Express they have a feature on all 2011 squad players and when they are 'off contract', some of which contradict the dates shown above. Should we just as usual, ignore the WE deliberations

Doesn't look a bad squad to me, providing the rumoured signings do actually sign. Sign up Tongia and Morrison, retain Murphy and add a big prop forward as well as a decent stand off and I reckon we're good to go for next season.

There's a lot of names but little size or quality, 1 fullback, 50% of our centres have no SL experience, no SL quality in the halves and no actual depth or size in the pack.
Apart from that it looks ok!!!!
Seriously we have a lot of work to do.

Tongia and Murphy would sort out our full back and three quarter problem out. I agree about the halves, but with a decent stand off I reckon Moore could develop into a quality scrum half. I'm happy with the pack, especially if we do get Kirmond, Raleigh and Dowes, but one big front rower would make me happier. People are saying Ben Cockayne is on his way too, so I'm not too worried about the depth if we do pull these signings off. I just think 2 quality players would round the squad off nicely.

Be interesting to see the signatures that Mr Agar comes back from Aus with - I reckon if he boxes off the above, we're all set.

That's a lot of if's.
As it stands (there's a lot of confirming to do) it's not much better than the squad for this season.

I wouldn't get too excited. I don't think he has gone to Australia with the sole purpose of recruiting player for WTW. I believe it was said when at Hull, he use to travel their to keep upto date with modern coaching styles, techniques and methodology.

So, don't expect him to return with Fort Knox

But then again, he just might.....

I wouldn't expect him to go to Australia and come back with the fort Knox, because it's in the US of A.
