Good Morning Trinity Fans,

We now look to Sunday 8th April, where we face of against the Leeds Rhinos. After a disappointing Easter weekend we really need to look to this game and turn the season right back around.

In my eyes we look to the forwards, Leeds have countless injuries and after speaking to a Leeds fan from work he reckons they've only got one fit prop forward. If this is a case then we need to be packing out and steamrolling the opposition. Dominate with the forwards and then let our backs have a field day with a run down team.

I'm going to throw my prediction out there and say Trinity win 42-10.

I'll take any win tbh, we were so close on Monday and not far off against Cas it's been a cruel Easter. A win on Sunday against the old enemy will really set us up for St Helens the following week.

Agree with Trinity18.
If Leeds are going to be short in the forwards we should target them here.
While I have been pleased that we have been competitive this year, we have lacked belief in ourselves.
Good sides know they are good and look for their opponents Achilles Heel.
Much has been made of our big pack this year but after leading at half time we have failed to kick on in the second half.
If Leeds forwards are there Achilles Heel we need to target it for the full 80.
If we do we have the backs to make Leeds suffer and restore our confidence for Saint Helens the following week.
Trinity18 may not be a million miles away in his score prediction if we can get a roll in.

Don’t forget we are missing Fifita and England too! Big misses...rest sound ok but there still might be a knock on effect from Easter for the like of Huby, Hirst and Pauli who played both games...I’d bite yer hand off now for a one point win...just hoping for better weather and any kind of win..

I'm all for optimism matey, but to win by 32 points?!! I doubt it. They're hardly a run down team are they, they seem to be coping admirably enough with their injuries, and I know the 3rd game in 8 or 9 days can throw up some funny scorelines, but can only see another tight affair which hopefully this time we come out the victors, we were very unfortunate over Easter, although a lot of it was our own downfall, we have to start playing better for longer against quality opposition, or else we will be facing 6 losses on the spin, with a difficult trip to Salford to follow. icon_eek.gif

Has Fifita gone back to Aus for a bit? I follow him on Instagram (his daily stories are usually quite funny) and his recent ones look like they are in Aus, although perhaps he is posting his brother's videos.

Yes, CC said he's gone back home to see his family.

The first part of your post is ok and I probably agree with you but 42 - 10, wow.
Can you send me some of whatever you've had for breakfast.

Aside from the fact that our offence has been a bit off for most of the season, Leeds wont concede 42 points against anyone this season, even without 18 props or, however many the have missing this week.

I'll take a win though icon_biggrin.gif

Aye Fifita not back until after the Saints game...will be a big miss but if we can pull together without him and nick a couple of big wins then he comes back refreshed and 100% fit and we’ll be looking good to challenge for the top four! Big two weeks coming up starting Sunday!

We need to be patient , we need to play simple one out rugby with lots of dummy half scoots, we should not play any rugby in our half, we should look to only give them the ball near to their try line. We need to cut out the silly penalties. Like all the games we have lost if we continue to hand over the ball in our half, if we don`t base our game on field position, if we don`t take the two when on offer, and if we keep giving away silly penalties then we will lose. Leeds don`t need any help even with injuries they are a good side.

If they play the same side as they did against Salford then I really don't see why we can't hammer them...

Must be very hard for the Aussie players with young families left behind, especially with the relentlessly cold weather we're having. Hope it refreshes him for when he comes back.

I cant really bring myself to mention the fifta episode but really!!

our only hope now is top 8 and this is not a must win for that- we are no chance as their halfbacks and people that set up tries are way way better than ours - no matter how the forwards go.

I don't get what you mean... the backs generally rely on the forwards making the hard yards to set them up and put something on?

Yeah it's unfortunate for him obviously, but I suppose him getting a chance to see them now is a bonus for him, I haven't got a problem with him being allowed to go, if he's injured and can't play then fair enough. I think we'd all agree whenever he's pulled on a Trin shirt he's given nothing less than a 100% every time. eusa_clap.gif
