I think we would have won any team today but not Wigan

Not so sure about that. We did what we have done well most of the season which is graft and never give in, but we still lack creativity, I think we had two decent chances to score and that was it.

we have to be realistic here the attendance was boosted by a large Wigan contingent and to be truthful on a day that wasn't going to rain and the back of a bloody good win at cas I honestly thought it was poor of the Wakefield public

yes i agree. i thought the home support was not very good today, which was disappointing, because had everyone turned up we could have been looking at a big gate.

however two games in 3 days is costly plus other bank holiday plans.

It was a the base 5000 -5500 we have that turned out. Would like to see that increase and hopefully it will as the club carries on marketing itself positively.

It wasn't bad but I agree we can and should do better.

As long as the home attendences this year are higher than the relative games last year then it's a positive sign we are moving forward.

Drove past ASDA on the way to the game the place was packed its a pity some of them can't get interested in RL. Having said that it may be an hard task because anyone who wants to be in ASDA and a warm Bank Holiday afternoon must be brain dead.

It will take time to attract the fans back but we are showing an average attendance increase of around 10% so far which is promising. Obviously the best way to attract the fans would be success on the field and I believe that if we are lucky enough to get a franchise and Glover keeps his word and spends up to the salary cap then we can achieve this.

Does anyone know if we link in with the big supermarket chains? Visit? Or try and promote instore?

Not at the moment but it does seem like a good idea. Even if we just had someone on the door of sainsburys on ings road handing out flyers.

If they can try and sell insurance in store then sure as toffee we can advertise inside. Everyone has to shop. Offer £5 off the next home game etc.

Try and get an announcement put over speakers on busy times.

Offer leaflets at checkouts.

Best idea I've got.. Get the full squad down to morrissons and each player to a checkout on busy hour wearing club gear and get them packing publics bags.

No good just going round to Glen's, they need to go to supermarkets.
