| They go on sale 1st September.
The squad we have for next season will be a reflection on the STs we sell.

| Also still not too late for the Club to come up with a suitable package for student concessions.

| It a bit of a chicken and egg situation is the sales of S/T's. Do the club release details of signings first in the hope that sales will follow suit or should they wait on sales first ? A no win situation and a massive gamble if it back fires.
The increase in SKY money should enable all clubs to spend near to the cap so there should'nt be too much difference between club spending on players wages.
One petential stumbling block for WTW will be finding the 45K to pay Salford back for Tim Smith.

It is a potential stumbling block, but as I've detailed in earlier posts Tim Smith has a big say in where he plays next year and he values being happy and content over the extra money he could receive a bigger club.
Salford also need him off their salary cap and overseas quota, for those two reasons I would expect Salford to let Tim Smith go back to Wakefield allowing them to spend more money and sign another overseas player

Given our chairman has already said on here we won't be paying any tranfer fees then it isn't a potential stumbling block as such, if Salford want 45K then it just won't happen.

| We had the same scenario with Sneyd. We weren't prepared to pay the 100K valuation on him - but Hull FC were.
I think Smith is bound to be wearing the R,W & B next year but I cannot honestly see Salford letting him go for free. He is their player. Could the recent squad culling this season (Moore, Sykes, Wildie) be the start of getting a bit of cash together for a move for Tim Smith's registration ?

Given that they currently have nine overseas players on contract for next year (Smith, Chase, Locke, Dobson, Puletua, Hauraki, Rapira, Tasi, Sau) and the limit is seven, i'm not sure they will be doing too much to block anyone wanting to leave.

I imagine many of those who do renew won't immediately anyway, many will need to save up for longer and will wait to just before the December 1st deadline when the prices rise.

I guess there is a base of a squad, if supporters want a betterment on that they need to get their hands in their pockets.

| As with most installment payments, you pay a bit extra.
So you put all your copper in a jar from now til Dec 1st and hope you have enough.
Or you take the less painless option that costs you a bit more.
Or goto a well known loan company for the £220 and pay them back about £700!

| Back in 2000, in the aftermath of Pearman, I approached the club as follows:
A season ticket was around £120 IIRC. The club wanted cash - so they offered a 10 year ticket for £1,000. - which seemed like good value if you could afford.
I didn't have £1,000 sitting around, so I sought a loan - which would cost me around £300 over 3 years - or £1,300. in total.
I suggested to the club that, rather than pay some no-name company £300 in interest, the club could have £1,300 over the 3 years in monthly instalments - and the deal was done!
Money costs - so I don't think the fee involved is unreasonable at all.
