| Can it be "the joy of 6"
Another week, another big game.
Widnes have found some form recently and this will be another tough game for the boys.We need to stuff BV full of Trinity fans and put on a good show for our new friends at Sky.
Certainly a winnable game and we could do with a favour from the black and white side of Hull so that we can go into the final game with a place in the top 8 in our own hands.
Come on Trin !

| A potential banana skin IMO.
Looking forward to it though.

| Widnes are a decent side and will test us at home, no games are "wins" without earning that right.
On form we should win this, get the basics right and play our game, should see us pull through.

| Agree with all these posts.
BV should be rammed for the last home game of an eventful season with the play offs all to play for.
Back the team, bring a friend and then fingers crossed lets go and fill the City of Salford Stadium too!!!!

Living in Stockport, the Salford game is probably more of a home game for me and my lad than the Widnes game, so will be going there to our first away game regardless of result on Sunday.
Hopefully Hull will do us a favour on Saturday and we can go into the Widnes game with a bit of the pressure to win taken off us

| Widnes have pulled their socks up in the latter part of the season, so our lads will need to bring their A game - on form it should be win no 6, but I take nothing for granted.
This weekend will be the first and only time this season I'll be shouting for Hull FC - we need them to do us a favour against the Dulls, although if last week was anything to go by, they'll get another pasting.

I can only see a win for the Dulls mate, Hull very poor at the moment, lets just keep winning and hope others slip up

You're right on both counts Bren.
The main thing for us is the "W" and FWIW, I think the Dulls will struggle in France for their last game but, my nerves wont stand a final week where we would need a win AND for them to come unstuck, so Come on Hull
It will be quite ironic if Hull put Mr Agar through to the play offs, the trolls will be coming on telling us how lucky we are and the RA got them into the play offs

| Obviously wary of Widnes as i'm sure the players and coaching staff will be.....they're much improved as the season has gone on and have done superbly to do as well as they have in their first season back in the top flight......Hanbury is an excellent player and along with our own Tim Smith has to be one of the form players in the comp at the moment....
In reality though we should win this and win it comfortably if our recent form is anything to go by......I don't think any of the bookies will have priced the match or the handicap up yet but i'd imagine Widnes to be in receipt of 18+ points in this, and for me we should be able to cover that....
Our home form has got stronger and stronger as the season has gone on, and only really Wigan have totally dominated us (and we weren't really that bad in that game to be honest).....good strong wins over the likes of Leeds, Saints, Catalans, Hull etc.....should see us have way too much for Widnes....
I think with the noises coming from Widnes about them fighting with everything to avoid bottom spot we need to just be patient and play our own game....we've been finishing games really strongly and I see no reason why this should be any different.....weather the storm for a good hour or so and then let the class take over.....
Looking forward to it and hope there's a great crowd in!

| Potential banana skin. Widnes will be putting everything into their last 2 fixtures to avoid finishing bottom. Just got to play as we have been playing and I'm sure we can win without it going to a heart attack last 10 minutes!

| It'll be down to who wants it the most with us fighting for eigth, them wanting to avoid the wooden spoon. I think it'll be a very tough game with the pressure showing on both teams.

| Widnes are very similar to ourselves in that they struggled early on and as the season has progressed and the team has gelled they're much improved.
But that said, there away form isn't the best and after watching them against Hull their defence looked terrible. But, they do look like given the chance their attack could trouble us.
Either way, I expect it'll be a much tougher game then were expecting and we'll need to be a step up from KR away
