| If Glover decided to pull out because the Adminstrators strip away the assets he thought he was buying, I wonder what the NIMBYs will think about the stadium plot at NM being reallocated to more warehousing?

| No, they will get 51 hectares of distribution warehousing and no more (in the short term) irrespective of a stadium or even the PI. The rumour that Wakefield MDC do have plans to allocate part of the site as a travellers site, if the stadium part of the development does not go ahead (for any reason), would appear to be growing and more than just a baseless rumour now and I have heard this from several reasonable sources. Wakefield do have to find a new travellers site from a legal perspective, so it is going to have to go somewhere at some point!
More digging to be done yet though to see if there is any real truth in this, as it is still just a rumour...

Talk about black monday. Half a team out the door, the clubs leading light in the community dept and then the new ground looks like a non starter.

Doubt the travellers will be too happy about that.

No, the new ground will go ahead while ever Wakefield MDC and Yorkcourt wants it to, so to speak, but of course it is still subject to the PI. Newmarket does not rely on any funding from the club at all so they are not giving up on it and probably won't give up in it lightly, irrespective of the current issues at the club. The travellers site is being talked about only if things don't progress for any reason, as I understand it, on the stadium on this site, but there is no current indication that they are planning anything other than to progress with participating fully in the PI.

Sorry IA I read your previous post wrong and thought you had heard rumours that the stadium wasn't going to progress.

They won't have room, when the new Wakefield ring road, new 4 lane bridge across the canal and Calder, new school and new houses all get built next to them... probably!

Thats not what Ted said a copule of weeks ago in the league express. What happened to the £1.1million earmarked for Newmarket then Ted? You know, the balance from the sale of Belle Vue?

| Ive heard that yorkcourt maybe looking to pull out now because of the way things are going with the club and the rising costs that are happening, Thousands have to be spent on the environmental survey and there is no guarantee of the PI going their way,can anyone confirm or refute this please
