Think it shows what a great player he was, speed gone now ,looked good against Salford ,bigger test Friday ,but looked to be able to organise ,but we need pace round him

It’s not the speed we need from him. It’s definitely his boot and his brain that we need and they look as sharp as ever. He does look in great shape physically too. Wigan will be a sterner test but the way he was organising players was a positive.

It may not always come off but some games and plays it will and I’m looking forward to seeing the team play now and I can’t actually wait to see the players take the field vs Wigan.

As I said when he was rumoured to be signing, he's better than anything we had so had nothing to lose. He's not what he was, but has enough left to orchestrate the players around him. It wont work all the time, the opposition will realise he is pulling the strings and target him/shut him down, but after watching e for most of the season it was a pleasure to watch a half who knows what he's doing.

No different when Abdul or Croft or Sezer missing.
Those teams didn't function as well.

We needed one. Now we have one. And the game plan and rest of team looks better.

He definitely does seem to have made a difference.

With him and Fifita there too now, other players look to have improved their game too.

I feel they may have come a couple of games too late, but now looking forward to remaining games, and dare I say it, with a little more confidence.

Further to this, though it could be totally unrelated, the upturn in form has also come about since the last announcement of the takeover, which, coincidentally to this comment, was 4 weeks ago today. Which was the expected time frame of due diligence checks.
