Long Term, we want some stability and a Head Coach who will value the Youth pathways as much as the Super League team.

Neil is available so probs would be a cheap option as no other club to pay off

I’ve recently voted for Glenn Morrison and would be happy with his appointment if he were the one to take over, but after Clans post Neil Kelly makes more sense. It’s time we brought an identity back to this club. Get a quality coach who has an affinity with the club who has a wealth of experience and get more of the club trained players in the team rather than half d dross we’ve seen in the past 3 months.

Oh, and if he can find somebody with a few spare millions to come along with him all the better. Otherwise well be having his same discussion ad infinitum.

Francis Cummins is available too isn't he ?

I can't add any more to the list, we might be better signing all the prospective coaches and using them as a new team.

I hope whoever comes in drops the players who have a poor attitude (not specifically sure who they definitely are but I have a few ideas who MC was referencing to) and brings in youth to replace them. Max Jowitt, Crowther, Annakin, Trout etc they are local lads who give their all and would never lose from lack off attitude.

For me its about the desire and approach they bring.

What people seek when they mention John Kear is the attitude he came with - he KNEW that if he got hold of that squad that he could keep us up. He didn't think so, or believe so, he KNEW.

We are still in SL and the odds are even that we can stay up there - what better way for someone to prove that they can cut it at the top level.

Be it JD/Ned/Andy/Glen whoever, its all about coming in with that positivity and commanding that amongst the players we have.

Tough job - eminently do-able!

Given the position the club is in it needs someone with a proven track record with recent top flight experience and a handle on the modern game to get us out of this. Which is where in my opinion John Kear stands head and Shoulders above any other candidate right now, he has exactly what it takes to get this group of talented underperformers playing like they can. Personally I feel Neil Kelly has been out of top flight RL coaching too long, the game has moved on since he was sacked by Widnes in 2004, eleven years is a long time between superleague drinks and I think it is 6 years since he left his last RL job at leigh? To have him jump into a club in our our position would be a very big risk, it might pay off but it could also backfire badly. All about opinions though.
