| What do people think?
Saints have two very losable games (Warrington and Huddersfield). Cas have us and Catalan away. Points difference is about the same, and if Cas win both and Saints lose theirs, they'll make it up.
Hell of an achievement if they do it. And it's doable.
My own view is that Cas are the only team these to have been consistently good. Saints haven't been good at all, for a team at the top.

| If we play like we did today then the chance of top spot will be ended by you guys. I think next week could be a tight game.

Yes agree.
Also going to Catalan at this time of year will be very tough, we were flagging in todays conditions.

| Despite today's great team performance we are still down on firepower up front with only 3 genuine front rowers available and Dan Smith who's still young for a prop and splits his time between front and back row.
Against a genuinely good team in good form we might get hurt by being light in the pack. Therefore I expect us to be up against it when playing Cas on their own stomping ground.
Darryl Powell has signalled his intent to finish top otherwise I might have suggested Cas would rest a couple in preparation for the play off games

How about this for a compromise?
We beat them next week and they finish second. We sneak in to the 8 and then go on to meet Cas in the final at Old Trafford. Win/win for the Wakefield district and a double whammy for the RFL!!!

| Very torn on this as dont really want our main rivals to finish top but seen Saints get loads of big decisions this season including fridays win. What really bugs me is Gansons involvement in our game cost us and could cost us top 8 If you look at it from that point of view. Wasnt he on the team of refs for the Leeds Saints game?

I'd swap places with them. To clubs like Cas and us it does.

| I think they'll finish second and it will still be a hell of an achievement.

| Sts play Warrington on Thursday night so top spot could be decided 4 days before we play Cas. I'd expect Powell to rest a couple of key players ahead of the play offs if Sts have wrapped it up

| Powell won't be resting anyone. We could still finish top or 6th which makes a world of difference come play off time.
Today we were ok nothing flash but got the job done despite a busy week on and off the field.hope you lot turn out in good numbers next week.
I think both teams can be very pleased with their seasons after all this game was supposed to be a relegation decider.!!

Can you imagine Dennis Betts' face if this happened and we won?
