| I may be wrong but isn’t the golden point allocated differently outside SL.

Just depends how far and consistently the referees interpret the new rule, the marker being square ha been ignored constantly, the foot playing the ball ditto, will the ref really stop the pile on after players tackled, etc, etc. A leat we have a whole new experience with referees next season, good or bad.

| The "new" rules seem to be exactly how we were refereed last year. Unfortunately, a different set of rules apply to Wigan, Saints etc. Especially play the ball where some teams are allowed to charge forward as soon as a player regains his feet to play the ball whilst other teams are made to wait until it's in the dummy half's hands. It's been like this for years. the rules are too arbitrary and allow weak referees to be managed by dominant "personalities" on the field.

| Get rid of the "six again" rule altogether for me, the decisions are too arbitrary imo. Also, the "golden point". I haven't met any one yet who agrees with it (unless they have just been to a game where they've benefited from the rule).

You're quite right, ft. Still can't quite grasp that we're not in SL anymore. Still wish they would abolish that crazy rule before we're back there in 2025.

| Agreed the golden point needs to be scrapped. After 80 mins of gruelling rugby both players and spectators deserve something if its a drawn game. I also have not spoken to anyone who likes it.

| I like the golden point, it adds a bit of drama. I actually think they should introduce it in football.

It wouldn't work in football. You could play for days and still be 0-0.
It works in rugby as you have more opportunity to score.

Correct wouldn't work in football and for doesn't work in our game either. A draw is normally a fair result and the game has Always been decided over 80 mins and in reality it is a gimmick to see who drops the first goal and nothing to do with scoring tries which the game is about.

Yeah, I was thinking more force a winner, they should go to penalties after full time.

Exciting though, especially if watching as a neutral. Without golden point we wouldn't have beaten Wigan last year.

No, we would have drawn. A much more satisfactory result that the Golden Point lottery.

We wouldn't have lost at Salford and leigh either. Intact we could have easily been relegated on golden point
