| I'm ok with it.
But now they put up, or shut.
There's no-one else left to blame.

| Disrespectful if you ask me.
I also think it smacks of blaming someone else for himself not being fit.

I heard a lot of things about last season at the time. Some of which is mentioned in this article and by Tanginoa. Some of which isn’t mentioned and doesn’t need to be.
It’s just his opinion but It was obvious he came back early from his injury when he wasn’t fully fit and this confirms it. He was kind of hung out to dry imho.
Long story short is the training wasn’t intense enough last season as now mentioned by two current players. This season appears different which is positive.
He’s had enough stick and held his water I guess but there’s always two sides. It’s probably a somewhere in the middle but it’s not about blaming now it’s about what happens this season

| It's easy with 20:20 hindsight, but Poching was a disaster for the club.
I didn't see it at the time.
I thought he was cool, calm, thoughtful, measured...
Now it seems we needed a Harbin or a Kear.

| I think he is excusing his own poor performances and clear lack of match fitness. I would expect for his own professional standards he would be able to stay fit without coaching. I also don’t like his reference to how much he is paid but with an article like this he must back it up with performances that match his rhetoric.

Yeah, you're right, we played e and nearly got relegated last year cos Lineham was fat.
He wasn't even here the majority of the season!

Really?
He had a win % so where in the mid 40s which is up there with Shane McNally and Andy Kelly, he must have been doing something right

The fact that he couldn't even get in last season's team probably tells you all we need to know.

| The point isn't whether he is right. It's whether he should say it in public. In my opinion he shouldn't.

| He ought to show a bit more humility and just get on with the job. Comes across as a jerk.

Not before the sharp upturn in form from the Cas match. We were on a one way train to the drop.
What I heard at the time was that it certainly wasn’t Poching/Cummins that was responsible for the upturn in form and subsequent wins.
Overall Poching did an okay job though. It could have been much worse though if not for the late surge.
who cares now anyway? Lineham is playing better and we have
2023 to focus on now.

| I saw it.
I stated it on here.
I got blasted from all directions.
I was right.
Doesn’t matter whether you like or disliked Poching, he wasn’t right. It was obvious at the Magic game if it wasn’t before!!!
It’s utter nonsense to quote his win record, it’s the match performances that matter that were the real issue and some were the worst I’ve ever seen, Salford away!
People seem to forget that had Toulouse not collapsed and Fifita, Arona and Miller in particular not played their hearts out in the last few games we were gone,
For heaven sake wake up, out of all our SL reprieves that was probably the worst in many ways.
I said Poching couldn’t coach and I gave my reasons - and unless anyone daft enough to believe I have any sway - the BOD felt the same. MC in particular has been around a while now, so unless you think he’s stupid he will have learned a thing or two. They will know when it’s not working even if they are not exactly sure why. They know the restraints a club like ours place on a coach but they also know what is possible.
It’s worth looking at comments made by Miller and Batch since leaving. Both have raved about Applegarth. To me that’s coded language for I’d have stopped and played for him.
It’s not personal I had high hope for WP, he’d done his time, he looked right, but some just can’t take the step up. It happens, it’s life, we are all where we are for a reason.

Correct, and the Cas result had a lot to do with Miller showing his new boss and supporters what they were getting - had to have been Millers best game in years, possibly ever.
