| If we were to go down, we will lose a lot of players I'm sure.
However, rumours aside, but based on form and age etc, which of our squad, especially those that tend to be first choice, would probably get a gig elsewhere.
Jowitt (probably)
Johnstone (yes)
Miller (probably)
Lino (probably)
Fifita (probably)
Tanginoa (probably)
Lyne (probably)
Hall (probably)
Bachelor (probably)
Don't think there are too many more. Murphy and Crowther possibly.
I would however, try ro retain Jowitt, Hall, Murphy, Batch and Crowther.
Not sure of half backs, but could possibly run with quite a young, but certainly competitive side.
Jowitt
Murphy
Hall/Croft
Minns
Lineham/Kershaw
.
.
Whitbread
Hood
Butler
Eseh
Aydin
Bach
Crowther
Walker
Bowes
I know there are names I have forgotten, but some of the current squad I've purposely ignored, which is part of the dead wood cleansing.
That isn't a full squad, but already, most of it looks reasonably competitive

| I would be amazed if any players were full time if we are relegated so it would probably be starting over again with a lot of new faces

| If we do go down we would have no chance of coming back up. The massive drop in funding combined with the lack of investment means we would struggle to stay in the Championship. I could very easily see us doing what Bradford did and slipping down to league 1. Quite frankly at the moment it seems as if the club would be quite content for this to happen because there seems a complete lack of trying to turn things around.

Given the drop in funding i highly doubt we would be full time so most of those you’ve named would go. The best youngsters would be picked off by superleague clubs guys like Jowitt & Crowther would likely be useful squad players somewhere. It would be start again time.

| If we were to go down then the way to go would be youth imho.
I would expect we would run full time but with a more youthful squad and a few older heads.
Players like:
Jowitt
Murphy
Hall
Kershaw
Eseh
Aydin
Bowes
Crowther
Would be high on my list for the backbone of the team. I’d be tempted to add in a few of this years promising academy products in Mearns etc.
It’s just a matter of recruiting the right players around them then. I’d like to think we could keep 2/3 of the team full time training then add some seasoned part time players.
Hopefully we don’t end up in that scenario.

| It doesn't bear thinking about, to be honest.
The club needs to start paying the council, with reduced central funding and lower crowds I don't see how the loan could be serviced?

Increased revenue from the new stand and facilities would likely cover that along with any sponsorship opportunities to come from that.
Otherwise I guess success on the field would go some way. That would need some level of investment.

| Back in the day Shudds would have been straight in to hoover up our young lads as they had no young uns coming through. In Super League now I think Hull KR are in that position although they do prefer to pull in ex Hull FC cast offs.

It’s that sort of attitude that has got us into this mess. A bit like Minards last year with the old “did anyone really think we could beat Saints”.

It’s not attitude it’s reality until ground sorted etc to help us compete.

You really think a new stand is going to help us compete? It will still be the same porr quality team just playing in slightly better surroundings. Just because we might end up with a shiny new part of a stadium does not mean that the on the field product will improve.
The prime example of this is Arsenal (Yes I know its a different sport but hear. From the mid 90's to the mid 00's they were one of the best teams around. Regular trophy winners always finished in the top 3, a few league titles. They moved from Highbury to the Emirates with the promise to the fans that this would allow them to compete at the Top Table of World Football for years to come as it would generate more income and so on. Guess what the funding of the stadium was a huge financial Burdon that they are yet to really recover from and since their move they were unable to compete at the top financially and on the field and have not won a league since.

Neither has Tottenham but you don't see them both lingering at the bottom, we have to start somewhere and where else than improvements to the stadium
