| It's been a bad few years but I think the last three weeks have probably been the worst.
They have been the worst IMHO because there have been few excuses. We have not had an exceptional injury crisis. We haven't had a worse fixture pile-up than most other teams. The reffing has been no worse against us than anyone else regardless of how we kid ourselves.
It's also interesting that even the most positive of posters have been clearly upset rather than just the usual suspects.
However, it doesn't have to be this way. We still have over half a season to go and on paper at least we are in decent shape.
Winning today will be hard let's not kid ourselves and I don't think anybody is. Hudds are not the hoodoo team they were but they are a decent outfit from 1 - 30 and we will have to be back to something like to get a win.
I'm over Cas now though that's the longest it's ever taken me to get my mojo back! I'm looking forward to tonight, I expect an utter nerve shredder but I think a win is possible but if I were a betting man I'd still go Hudds.
It's up to you lads, get the basics right and give 100%, that's all we've ever asked.

| KR game was the first game this season (outside of Catalan) I missed after disappointment I felt from the Cas and Wigan away games, back on board for this one but I am expecting a big performance
I like the look of Hudds as a team, I think they are probably the most underrated side in the comp this year IMO and when they have a full team out have the ability to trouble any team in the league.
If you play any team that are missing both of their first choice front rowers, their starting hooker, their starting full back and one of their halves then really you should be expecting to beat them and we should but I`m never confident against Hudds.

| When you get days like you did at HKR ,you will not win no matter what Know we made mistakes , but glad I am watching a team trying to play foot ball ,than the team that was the most boaring team in S L over the last 3 year. That is why I have been going to matches away this year .and enjoying

| I am going tonight with no expectations. A win is a bonus.
I am just fulfilling a duty at this point.

Sadly I know exactly what you mean.
Look at it this way, that's not how you felt a month ago so things can change quickly in sport or let's hope so

| If wakefield have their rugby heads on and focused it’s a win all the way for me or at least it should be at home in front of the home fans and with some of their top players out . We will see exactly what this club means to the players tonight and I’m confident they’ll do us proud until the next collapse , which could be anytime , anyplace against any opposition. This has been going on to varying degrees for as long as I can remember , so why we are all getting shirty with the results is beyond me . This has always been the wakefield way and one of the main reasons for our mediocre fan base , put the ground to one side for a moment or the lack of advertising to bring crowds in ,we nearly alway manage an own goal when we get a few wins under our belt and a few new faces turning up ,and then proceed to capitulate in the most dramatic of fashions , and then we are back where we started . Defeat in itself isn’t the problem for me personally it’s the manner of them that gets my goat and always has done , i can take a loss everyday of the week if I feel there has been effort and commitment, but lately these two fundamental building block have been missing ,tonight I’m hoping for dramatic improvements in all facets of our game ,because I know if we turn up to play we will win .

But do you genuinely have no expectations?
I`ll be honest, and this may seem over the top to some but I don`t really care, I have a season ticket, if I turn up tonight (which I am forcing myself to at this point) and see a similar performance to what I saw against Castleford or what I saw against Wigan on Easter Monday then I will be giving my season ticket away because I just feel time is better spent with other things than watching a group of blokes that don`t really seem to care, that probably feeds into my choice to buy a season ticket next year.
My expectation at the very least is effort, as Kettykat says if we turn up to play we should win this one or come very close, I just don`t think I can take another gutless, effortless performance.

| I've learned over the years to go in hope rather than expectation but the hope feels a bit thin on the ground currently. A win would be magnificent if only dampen the frankly poisonous atmosphere around the place at the moment.

| Well, according to WP Big Bopper is definitely playing and he does lift the team.
IF we play as we all know we can, with Miller and Lino on form and the forwards for once dominant we will win.
I really don't want to think any further than that.

That sums it up for me. I'll be there with that bit of optimism which never really goes away even when logic, predictions and reality should have killed it off years ago. We can do it - but will we?

| I cant make it tonight unfortunately so will have to make do with SKY sports this time.
I am not expecting a win but i hope that they go out and play good rugby. I know this sounds obvious but it really isn't. Watching what we do as a team when we are under pressure to get a result is not pretty. We put in loads of individual effort, unfortunately that leads to drab one-out rugby as each player takes their turn to single handedly take on the opposing 13 with the obvious result.
Having Fifita back is huge for us as he doesn't miss tackles, and creates a lot of space. We need to exploit that extra space tonight.
Hudds are definite favourites and look a good side this year, but a good performance could see us with a much needed win.

| Much of the current disappointment stems back to the result v Cas.
We went into the gam on the up and a close result or, maybe, even a win was expected. Let's face it, a victory versus our closest rival is long, long overdue.
We followed that with and expected defeat at Wigan (which given the squad was no surprise).
However, we then travel to KR and simply dont turn up and that was after resting a decent chunk of the squad for the Wigan game.
Starting over is a good idea but, we simply have to see some effort for the full 80 and utter commitment in defence, especially at marker.
Huddersfield, despite their last last couple of results, have gone well this season and they have a semi final to think about.
Let's at least have no excuses after the game, This one is on the players shoulders and it's up to them to show that they want to and can play.

Nope, I just hope it's not another embarrassing, gutless performance.
But I can't say I am looking forward to it and frankly have better things to do tonight but I am going.
If we get hammered again tonight I can't see me going again this season to be honest.
