| For me at least it was a good run and out all played well, no injuries other than Brough???? had a limp at the end.
Hampshire looked more involved.
Gwaze impressed again
J Wood looks a very good signing.
Pitt’s adds some metal imho.
Kershaw improving every game, didn’t get much luck.
Add as you wish.

| J. Wood has been very impressive so far Walker too looks a good signing.
Defence has been strong in the first too matches.
My concern is that we still appear very toothless in attack and have done for some time

| Yes Foxsake i feel that as well. There's no moves coming from the halfbacks to open up the defence. I have to say tho the defence was very good they only scored because we were a man down out wide, The touch judge wouldn't let him on, Still early days they had no Idea how to score as well

Not sure about that, I don’t think that’s what these games are for tbh. Tries are meaningless in a way, save that for the real games for me.
I’m far happier to see what was essentially a nilling of HKR who only scored when a rookie centre was on the wing, not a dig at the lad it’s dark enough to debut without having to play out of position.

I don't agree. This is exactly the time to run your moves to get some cohesion in the team. If the half backs can't create against a team that isn't quite on it then they'll find it harder when the going is tough.
The defense is a great result of the game and we will need that but I'd like to see us running the attack more...... But of course that is what they do in training so I don't doubt Chester is on that.

Actually I should correct myself as although I don't think we should not look at the attack in friendlies, Chester has just said that he and Smith clearly held back some of the attack to not give away anything for the first game.

| TJ looked good for a first run out. He’s obviously a way off his best but physically looked tip top in contact.
Josh Woods I really like the look of. Looks like he enjoys putting shots on and good distribution at ptb.
All in all a good run out and an improvement on the showing at Leeds. Still think we’re short of top 5 quality but looked ahead of HKR on this showing. Still some big players to come back in for us, honestly not sure who they were missing.
Masoe was stretchered off early on for them, hope he’s back soon always enjoyed watching him

Saw him outside after in a protective boot.

That was Hauraki you saw in the boot. Masoe was taken to Hopital with a neck injury.
