| What do people think we need to look at next positionally? If Kyle Wood gets injured think we could struggle so for me it's another hooker because I wasn't too convinced with Crowther.

| Both Crowther and Ashurst are emergency cover and that's it.
Same as Brough or Rocky would be.
You'd only use them if you had an injury crisis.
I don't know what the other Wood is like so not sure whether we have two hookers or one with a developing project.
So I'd probably agree Hooker would be an area to improve.

The only area I would be looking at would also be hooker.
I’m hoping and preying that the quality NRL player Chester has mentioned is Levi, the unwanted Newcastle hooker, whether he is in our price range though is another matter.

| The squad looks pretty much done to me, but if the budget is there I’d be hoping for a quality rather than just cover. I don’t know enough about Josh Wood, so I can see why people would say hooker. James Cunningham from London would be a decent shout. A top notch second row would be a welcome addition in my opinion. I don’t watch the NRL, but if there’s someone in the same mould as Kelepi knocking about it would be a welcome addition.

| I said we needed a Quality hooker about a month ago and got shot out of the water must be the way I speak lol .Do agree the role now is more than just going to dummy half and passing the ball .The speed he can get the ball away is also a skill on it's own

| I'm more than happy with what we have now, obviously I don't know much about Josh Wood, he did play a lot for Salford in 2018, so let's hope he does go well and compliment the other Woody. The key to any 'success' next year is getting the best out of Hampshire, Miller and Broughy. I will be intrigued to see who starts at 6 & 7, and then hopefully CC can figure out which pairing is going to get our backs firing and flying in for lots of scores.......!

You did and we got one, he's also called Wood! I personally don't think we do need another hooker, we have two quality hookers now and some cover as we did last year. If we do desperately need another hooker at some point we can always sign one later.
Unless there is a no9 kicking around who we actually really want I don't see the point of signing for the sake of it. Two hookers are enough to start the season with, same as all other clubs and if one suddenly becomes available that we fancy then we look well placed to swoop.
Sorry, I don't mean to keep zoning in on you but you seem to be the only one with a real issue here. I'm just not sure exactly who this signing is that you want so much. Is there this team altering player out there? If so any names?

| I think people worry is it the only area where we could be weaker than last year?. In the fact I quite rated Randall and question if Josh Wood who I know little about is just as good/better.
Logan Tompkins and Lunt are both available but not sure if they are worth it. But I'm a bit fan off CC and he knows more about what his plans are than me and who will strengthen us and I'm just been greedy!

| Fishermans cap - If as Chester wants to sign another player what position do you think we should look at rather than hooker? Just interesting to have another view

My current opinion and it may change is that we should hold fire for now, unless there is an issue we don't know about.
We have four players coming back from big injuries and they are all top top players, TJ, Ashurst, Arone and Tupou. We will be very fortunate if all four of these players totally recapture there form and fitness this season, maybe never. So I'm tempted to see how it goes. Good NRL players and SL players especially loan players do generally turn up throughout the season.
Just my theory but if CC things he needs another hooker then fine but he seemed happy to run with two in previous seasons (Wood/Randell) and Randell was pretty injury-prone.
As someone else stated, it's not so much the position but the addition of some real class wherever that may be.

| Fair comment and like you say there is always someone to pick up mid season. It would be quite something if we played the season with 2 quota available but this club always tend to come up with a bonus ball signing and with clubs in Oz facing challenges with the cap and most UK teams not having spots, it might be a good market for us either now or down the line.

| Add Fafita to that list of players returning after serious surgery, his Instagram showed a photo of the surgical scar on his foot, it looked like they must have opened up the top of his foot. As Fishermans Clap says its not nailed on these procedures will have a 100 % positive outcome. We know that knee reconstruction takes time and real dedication to come back from, then Ashurst has had vertebrae fussed together which again doesn't sound good. That said these lads are tough tough men, there resilience , ability to overcome challenges never ceases to amaze me
