Saints were not better than us today, they were more experienced than us & / or clinical - their last try came from us numbering up wrong trying to stop making & farge, a quick play the ball & we had all the numbers wrong , a double Decker bus could have gone through, however the tackled did nearly stop scarsbrooke.
When we pressed on three drop outs we were slow with fatigue, they were not & read our slow plays.
We certainly looked more fatigued but we are getting more match fit.
I am still concerned that we are fit but not at saints level, will we get there, not so sure ?
But at least we had a go & at stages had them worried, up the trin.

Slightly disagree I think silly penalties and being unable to cross the line in periods of dominance cost us the game. And let's be honest that penalty from the halfway line goes over and it's a different end to the ball game. I think simply put we were just the wrong side of tight margins today.

Down a forward wouldn't have helped with fatigue. With Walmsley coming back on Saints had 9 interchanges with 17 men rather than 8 with 16.

We were 2 down in the second half when Danny k went off and couldn't return.

I agree, he was making yards for fun.

Have to agree Roby was killing us, Lomax as well. Tough to take sometimes but they did outscore us 6-3

Effort was there in abundance today but execution at times let us down ,but all in all a very good response by the players after last weeks performance .
As been rightly said roby made ground for fun around their fast play the ball and we didn’t seem to have an answer to this.
Competed for 78 mins and Went toe to toe with the form team and just came up short at the end,can’t ask for much more at this early stage of the season.

6 tires to 3 say it all realy and we would have three times more attack inside their 20....

Roby didn't make yards for fun, he had a ten minute purple patch in the second half, jeeez people get carried away. He is however a truly excellent player and one Saints will struggle to replace when the time comes.

Bang on ,and if he'd had been playing for us we'd have won.

Fages was also a thorn in our side the whole match, not just Roby.
Saints have class just about all over the pitch and are level above us.

I accept that, and I know we too have some class homegrown players, but I feel we won't be at the top of the tier and on St's level until we can spend to the cap.
I'm not complaining at all about the players we have - perhaps before the season is out they will raise to the level of the St's players.....?
