| Just seen the Toronto squad numbers announced and there is no Mason Caton-Brown there. Anyone know if he's playing anywhere next season?

| Wouldn't mind seeing him back at Wakey as cover again, if funds allowed. But probably a 'luxury' we can do without

Why would you want that? It sounds like your knocking the lad before giving him a chance!

Totally pointless comment, didn’t take long did it. Two completely different players two completely different positions - no need whatsoever to connect them. So can we assume Reynolds is your new vendetta for the season?

| Would have him back if funds allowed. The way Toronto has treated him is disgraceful but I'm not surprised, they're a plastic club with plastic principles.

Couldn’t agree more. They bring nothing to the game.
As a sport we have failed to spread and consolidate the game in Sheffield, Wales and London to name a few.
Sheffield is 20 minutes away!
Wales is Rugby mad and actually likes the sport!
London apart from being one of only two mega cities in the world has a huge northern and antipodean ex-pat population yet nothing much in forty years of trying.
In the meantime we let once great or at least viable clubs like Oldham and Swinton wither and die. All because they don’t fit into the ludicrous “expansionist” agenda hoisted on us by the likes of Harry Edgar.
All this and we think Toronto will ever be a goer - ours is truly a sport played by Lions and led by Donkeys, which is hugely unfair on Donkeys tbh.
I’d love the game to expand but on foundations is concrete not the quicksand we have at the moment.
Now we await the VT mobs cat call of ludites blah blah blah.

Pointless because you don’t understand or don’t agree?
My point is that we have more than enough cover at halfback, Brough, Miller, Reynolds, Rocky, Jowitt and even probably Wood. Who have we got for the wing? Especially when you look at MCB’s record for us, it speaks volumes in iteself.
I get that Reynolds was probably signed thinking more long term, I have no problem with him or the signing of him. I just can’t see him playing a right lot until Broughs departure and considering how it’s been made clear in the past that we have “limited funds”, a signing like that could come to bite a club like ours in the backside. Short term of course so providing we have cover for the wings, it shouldn’t really matter but out of the two I would prefer MCB. What’s wrong with that?

Not at all, have a look at my response to Vastman. I’ve no problem with the lad.

I don’t feel the need to post often, but WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with this sentiment. I can only hope that the appointment of ‘Psycho’ brings a shot-in-the-arm to our sport..... not to the rules, not to the clubs, not to the players, not to the referees..... but to the direction-makers that sit above the AMAZING sport that ours truly is.

I did and wingers will never be as important as pivot players, you simply can't have to many - also Hampshire is clearly going to be played as a FB whilst Jowitt has played twice at HB at A team level. That actually only leaves Broough 36, Miller and Reynolds. Also we have deprived Cas of the chance to sign one of the better second string HB's, which in itself is a coup. I know Cas will call him a reject but right now I reckon the coaching staff would take him.
Wingers we can cover, TJ, BJB, Lyne, Tupou, Kershaw and Hooley - in an emergency there are no shortage of wingers out there to get on loan, SH's with a kickijng game, find one if you can who obviously isn't overseas.
So yes I don't get the reason why you lumped Reynolds in - you should have stopped at having MCB back if we had the money IMHO, I would have agreed with that so why embelish it to the detriment of another player. If saying you prefer an ex-player to a new one who's done nothing wrong is liking the lad then lets hope you never turn on him.

| Wingers are interchangeable, admittedly with varying degrees of quality but I think it's easier to get by with make shift three-quarters than a make shift half.

I could not care less about Cas, you could make that argument for any player that’s not brought through the academy and considering Rocky and Jowitt have played there, they can be classed as available to cover imo. Genuine question are Kershaw and Hooley with us or out on loan again this season?
You say it’s not as important but as Phil Clarke says “to win a game you must score tries” and MCB clearly can score a try so even for cover I’d much rather see him on the wing instead of Lyne or Mini beast, they’re much more important at centre.
MCB - 1 try in every 1.35 games
Lyne - 1 try in every 2.86 games
Mini Beast - 1 try in every 2.29 games
I hope to actually see Reynolds at our starting 7 at some point in the near future.
All I am saying is when we’re clearly strapped for cash given the choice between the two and depending on the salaries... Id of gone for MCB.

Also, again I couldn’t care less if you agree with me or not. It’s my opinion... you’re entitled to your own
