| They'll cope without him, as they did for large parts of last season.

Ben Roberts, Cory Aston, Jamie Ellis and if all else fails I’m told Callum Turner can play in the halves.

| They won games with McShane and Millington playing in the halves. They'll be fine.

Can't agree with that, it's a huge loss I don't see how it can be viewed otherwise. It's one thing winning with makeshift combination for a few games but a whole season, nah, he's integral to thier plans no doubt about it.
Would you be saying that if we lost Miller? Yes we'd probably get by as will Cas but it would seriously weaken us as it does them. Yes others get to shine but for them to shine all of their first season pulling the strings, I don't see it. I don't rejoice in his injury but it will do us no harm at all when we play them.

He hardly played last season and they did ok.
They have good backup.
Of course it will hurt them and of course they can't rely on McShane but the others are good enough and they can always bring a short termer in like Drinkwater was last year.
It's a shame for him personally but they'll survive.

That’s exaggerated BS. By the time he got hurt it was Round 13. By that point Cas were comfortably in the top 4 and rivals like Hull and Leeds had their own issues and had started to drop off. Gale being injured from Round 1 this year is a much different scenario.

Incredible, so you think the loss of a star player won't hurt them! I suspect most Cas fans were hoping to do a little better than last year.
I really don't get this, in a game with a shortage of HB's then losing your best one would hurt ANY team - since when did Cas become immune from this.
So again if we lose Miller our most consistent playmaker will we be just fine and dandy?

| They will be okay, by okay I mean I don`t think they will struggle, still a big loss for them though and may be the difference of been up there and not - Ellis is a plodder and not good enough to be playing in a top team, Roberts is unreliable and you don`t know what player is going to turn up and Truman is still young and to an extent unproven, yes he has showed up well in the games he has played and looks the part but to go into the season as starting 7 is a different ball game. As for Aston, who knows? From what I have seen of him he is barely championship standard.
People say they did okay without him last season but I don`t think they was as good, Powell can only do so much with the players he has and I think to not recruit any players in the off season is a big mistake, especially with other teams strengthening as they have.

Well after Round 10 we were in the top 4 and had beaten Warrington (runners up in both finals) and Saints (LLS winners) away from home.
So yeah we were in the mix for a while, were Wakefield top 4 at that same stage? We were still ahead of Wakefield until Round 16 so wouldn’t get too cocky trying to mock Leeds’ season when you only overtook us quite late on.

He played 15 games, exactly half compared to the previous year.
