Can't realistically see a store built there, as, in its current state could be a bit out on a limb, and think trade could be quite poor.

He's a brave man, that is for sure. British high street retail has been on life support for the last 10 years.

I reckon so aye - he sold a majority share for 150 million quid, and donated over 900k to Marie Curie Cancer Care; so whilst it may not be premium, it was certainly a great business.
Agree with the second statement though - it seems like a strange move to attempt to revive it, given that the retail ship appears to have well and truly sailed. |

There used to be a massive depot just off the A62 not far from shudds ground. |

Retail is struggling however I don't think this neccessarily affects the cheap end so to speak. In fact I would say they're probably doing well out of people's lack of funds. Poundworld failed because of mismanagement rather than lack of footfall.
