| At least we get a full week turn round and time to shake off a few knocks.
Its exactly the type of game the club needs and hopefully the players can prepare and focus on nothing else the coming week.
I hope the pundits give us the same sort of chance they gave us against Leeds and with sky in attendance once again we put on one hell of a show.
Come on Wakey dig deep and realise your full potential again.
Great thing on the horizon ?

| If they win this weekend they will get the Shield by beating us.
I'd love to spoil the party.

| That's another reason to put in a great performance and hopefully come away with the points.
A win against the team who have been outstanding would lift the club to the next level at exactly the right time.

If they win this weekend they have already won the shield, they will be 12 points clear with 10 points to play for, so it wont be by beating us - I imagine the shield will be presented that night though - Win or lose. Unless they decide to leave it until there final home game of the season and plan something for the presentation.

| Sorry, pal, you are wrong...if they win tonight they go 10 points clear with 5 games left to play, so next week could be the decider.

| Yes we do have the extra turnaround, which could really help us.
On the subject of bumps. Arundel looked in a bad way with his arm, hopefully not too serious and Hasson picked up a jaw injury.
One dilemma from last night, if Randells visa comes through, Wood had a blinder.
Would be great to ruin or delay the party though

Not a dilemma I don't think, definitely a benefit to having another specialist hooked on the bench and not have to put Hadley there for spells like we did last night.
Anyone else think Hasson looked completely lost every time he got the ball last night?

Nah I thought Hasson took it in ok, but he was always turning looking for the offload. Leeds had him wrapped up every time though - no shame in that though, I know we put a decent score on em but other than a few individual errors and moments of class from Wakey - I though they were also strong in defence.

| I actually think we could lose all 7 games and still win the shield. I can't see anyone winning 6 from 7 and our PD is too good for 5 from 7 to be enough.
That being said, I'd much rather win it on the back of a cas win than a Leeds loss.
We've a helluva game on our hands tonight against a Salford team desperate for form and desperate to cling onto the top 4.
Our last 3 games are the trickiest of the lot you'd suggest, so I think cas will be going all put to wrap it up before then and look to, *ahem* "rotate" the squad in those 3 games to try and keep bodies fresh.
By next week, providing we come through healthily tonight, we are looking at having a fully fit squad.
If you'd have offered me the LLS and a fully fit squad going into the semis, I'd have snapped your hand off - regardless of the outcome.
I don't think we're favourites for the title in any other way than on paper.
Anyhow, I digress.... Should be a great game with both teams having a lot to play for

| For us to survive at this top 8/top 4 level we have to have more consistency - Cas next week will be a big test of that.

| I would hope Cas might take it easy on us as a home semi v Wakey must be a lot better prospect for them than home v Saints.

Leeds may have thought the same last night.

| What is the concenus as to how many points Wakefield will require to make the play offs?
Would it be 34+, or could it be scraped with less points?

Of course I forgot that beating Leeds helped them. Doh.
