No surprise regarding Hall. I have enjoyed the way he's played for us recently but he's not irreplaceable .

| I think many will realise next season that he added quite a bit to our backs which is not duplicated with Arundel, Toupou and Lynn. He has speed, supports any breaks and can pass. How many of us have said how much better we are this season because we have genuine speed in the backs but without Hall and I don't believe BJB is signed for next year we are left with Johnson who could run the length of the field.

Surely it all depends on who we bring in doesn't it.

No it doesn't really. We know Hall & Scruton are definitely going who will have been on decent wages and by the sounds of things Anderson as well. Plus if we let some squad players like Owen, Tansey, Yates, Howarth, Walker. How do you know who we'll bring in at this point?

| Sadly Toronto are willing to pay more. I find it strange that when we lose a player it is always those on the highest wages even though we admit that we have the lowest wage bill compared to the rest of SL. I doubt neither Hall or Scruton are currently in our top half a dozen salaries.

| Don't have a clue what players are on or how they rank but Hall was one of our main signings when he first came and Scruton will be on a decent wack I imagine. As a club it's all about getting value for money and a decent level of player throughout the squad, especially the Top 25.

We got Scruton to come from one struggling team, to another.
We probably got him for a song but gave him a decent wedge and he signed an extension, so if HKR want to offer him more when a lot of people were saying his heart was still in Bradford, that's fine.
He has shown what a first class pro he is, by putting in some superb stints, no more than at Catalan, to ensure our top 8 position.
Hall wouldn't have come cheap, as he was seen as a 'top' player but a luxury that at the moment we can't afford.
Numerous debates have surfaced about players that have got away, what's Lucas Walshaw doing these days?
We have enough cover in Lyne, Arundel, Gibson, Tupou and Walton in the centres.
Johnstone on the wing and any one of Lyne and Gibson to cover if BJB doesn't re sign.
If Hirst and Ulugia are signing from Batley, that's the prop and centre covered?

| Will be wasting his time, he is far too good for that level. Can understand the draw of spending time in Toronto but as a rugby decision i think its a mistake A big loss for us too would have liked to have seen him on Johnstones centre more. Hopefully leave with Cup winners medal (and maybe change mind)

| The Toronto thing, although not really practical in terms of distance, looks as though it may have "legs".
To have sold over 3000 season tickets for next season is quite astonishing and the guy at the helm sounds to be getting things right.
Of course, its very early days but, season ticket sales alone will allow them to compete at SL level, within a short time frame.
If they can unearth some local talent (converted from American football) and add some quality and experience from elsewhere, they may be challenging for
a spot in SL in just a few years.
I know that this sort of expansion isnt for everybody and with the recent demise of York, it's sure to polarise opinions but, IF this can help establish Canada as a rugby league playing nation, it can only be good for the game.
A great City to visit too !

His interview on RL Backchat really turned me around regards the Toronto experiment. Some of the points you mention are really important, the fact there are hundreds (if not thousands) of poorly educated but extremely fit young men released from colleges, when they do not make the NFL, is a talent pool that just need to learn RL
The fact that they have sold National rights to televise all their games already, and get some of the other games onto Canadian TV, is a massive positive.

If things go well and it were to spark interest in The States, it could be one of the most important things ever to happen in the sport.
Of course, it's a massive if and they (The Woolfpack) are yet to play a game. However, the sport needs a stronger international programme and this may be the starting point for an additional nation embracing Rugby League.
