We have such a history of not turning up for these games and faltering just when the horizon is starting to clear.

Please please please can we just win this and not take it to the last moment as usual - I mean it's fun and all in retrospect but I'm not sure my ticker can take it.

We are not the greatest and Leeds are in a false position in a way but they have never been more for the taking than now. What worries me is that was when we were at our most dangerous. We just need to compose ourselves and do it for everyones piece of mind.

I'm the same, lots at stake tonight and it's just the sort of game we mess up.

A good one

It's a topsy-turvy season Slugger, that's for sure; Shudds and Leeds as cellar-dwellars, Hull FC seeing off all comers, and lowly Wakey, perennial rubbing-rags, dispatching SL coaches at a rate of knots.

All that said, I can't feel confident about tonight; it's still Leeds, and their quality players don't become crap over one off-season - you get the feeling that it will only take a minor purple patch for them to click into gear and start firing properly, and we do have a history of jump-starting teams who are struggling.

Considering we're playing one of this year's SLWBR clubs, I can't feel confident; but then I never do.

wakey by 8, big crowd expected tonight?

Been waiting for this game all my life. A win tonight and we will be a top 8 team ... The pressure will be off, we can go into cup game all guns blazing... While doing the double over Leeds . And making sure they get the enjoyment of middle 8s rugby .. I can hear those coffin nails being banged in now!!!! COME ON TRINITY!!!

A bit O/T but I've purchased an E ticket for tonight does anyone know if I have to print it off or can I i just scan my phone with bar code on?

All you say is true but somehow we've managed the complete opposite of Leeds this season - crazy

They prefer a print off, easier to scan I think; but can be scanned on a mobile.

Its time for the real Wakefield Trinity to stand up - the one we have all been waiting for for years and years.

We need to put Leeds to the sword, crush them with no mercy. Its what we should do and what we want to do and today is the real test of whether we have moved away from being chokers in games where we can become an effective force.

Like we have stood tall in the past in crunch relegation games, of which there are too many to count, we now need to stand tall in a game that can really set our stall out to becoming a very good team. We should win this - lets not stand off, choke, fail to turn up - show no mercy , show we mean business and remain consistent to the end of the season. Then anything could happen!!

It's a funny one this, not season defining/ ending but really important to consolidate. Let's also hope for results to go our way.
Cybil was also quite nervous this a.m. so not a good sign. I cannot calculate the number of times I have sat in the Castle after games with a glum face and feeling of being let down, again.
