I think the LE makes it up as it goes along.
Player loan swap i get but selling a player to get a loan player Also who have we got to sell other than Johnstone and Jowitt? Chester will have had to of had a full frontal lobotomy to attempt that.

| Slight difference in interpretation I think, what Chester said was that we would have to move a player on before anything could happen which differs slightly from selling a player.

Yep, that's what I was trying to say and failed.

| You would see Tansy or Owen as possible make weights. Who would want to replace Finn with Ridyard after yet another reasonable performance with the boot at the weekend?

| No would not want to move Finn on, we need 3 halves to ensure on the cover, that is the point.
I would say Tansey, Owen, or even Walton. His game time is limited, and we have ample cover at centre and second row
Out of curiosity, when is Reece Lyne contracted up to

| Yes, you're right. The fact I'd completely forgot about Walton probably points to him being more expendable.

Talk of a deal for Leigh half-back Martyn Ridyard is some way off.
The Wildcats have been heavily linked with the out of favour half-back for the remainder of this year on a loan deal, after Ridyard fell down the pecking order at the centurions following the arrival of Josh Drinkwater and Travis Burns.
League Express understands that althought the Wildcats retain an interest in the player, there are numerous details to be sorted before any transfer can begin to be discussed.
One key issue is finance, with Wakefield insistent that they have to move a player on before any deal can be struck up for a new player.
The transfer could yet be resurrected in the coming days as the situation could change quickly if Wakefield manage to offload a player, but for now talk of a Ridyard move has cooled.
There it is in it's entirety, I suppose he's got a player or two in mind what's occ at the end of the season, getting somebody to take might be a problem though.

| Reading your comments their Chissitt, would indicate to me that we are just about full on the salary cap, saying player out before a player in.
However, a few weeks ago, both CC and MC have both said we will be operating at the full cap from next year, if our crowd averages above 6k. We are a little short of that at the mo.
I had actually heard that we are now been linked with Mitch Cornish, a 23 year old half back.
Also, recently been looking at players off contract at other clubs the end of this year and Jordan Turner off contract at Saints, could he do a job for us, quite creative, and I think a little more defensively sound than Craig Hall. Any thoughts?

He deserves a contract extension, right ?

| No, I wasn't suggesting that. Just couldn't remember when it expired.
He has had some bright moments though, this season. He seems stronger, and often seems to be a difficult player to put down, compared to other years.
I recall something that CC said when he first came, about adding a bit of quality to the edges, we could have Jowitt, Johnstone, Arundel, and then a further quality centre, with the remaining players fighting over that final wing spot, we could have a really good back line

I would guess that it isn't the actual salary cap that is the problem but internal budget limit. Keeping a close control on the budget has saved the club (probably from extinction) so I doubt if MC is going to move away from that without an absolutely compelling reason.

I think he's just quoting the LE for my benefit rather than expressing an opinion - I think.

That was my thinking.
I haven't seen much of the player. We have proved a fertile ground for out of favour Super League players, but out of favour Championship players shuffled aside to make way for out of favour Super League players isn't something that would inspire me. But I'm happy to be proved wrong.
