After victories against Huddersfield, Leeds, Salford, Wigan and Sheffield in the cup we look to IMO the hardest challenge yet - a challenge that will tell us where we actually are. Hull FC have a big pack with good backs and a good kicking half in Sneyd. If with injuries and potential suspension we need to be 100% up for this game as a win here could move us potentially up to 7th and if Widnes lose to Warrington we will be drawing on points and what a game that will be on the Friday after. Aside from Arundal and B. Tupou I don't think we are carrying any knocks so what would be your 17 for the game if everyone was fit aside from them two.

I like Molloy but ahead of Ashurst - seriously?

Anderson should be last in the pecking order, Yates and Walker are miles better than him. Brent Todd is better than Anderson

Well Belly yet gain you take a fair point and then ruin it by exaggerating it totally out of proportion - it’s a free country and if you want to do that then you can - problem is it just polarises opinion when it’s not needed, though I suspect you quite enjoy doing that, anyway….

….for starters Anderson’s injuries are a red herring as they were with Kirke. You have no more idea than I do whether his injuries are for real or whether he is milking it.

Ditto Yates and Walker being better, open to debate to say the least. It’s subjective but I suspect they are not.

The real issue here and it’s where we probably agree is that for a well paid Aussie taking up a quota spot he’s nothing special, in fact IMHO not even close. It’s exactly the same issue I had with Miller a few weeks back. To take up a quota spot you have to be IMO considerably better than the domestic alternative and based on what I’ve seen he isn’t.

For me he does the absolute minimum to get by. He’s efficient I suppose but that’s about as far as it goes. He rarely breaks a tackle, rarely off loads, doesn’t seem to hurt the opposition. He runs the ball in ok, tackles ok and plays the ball reasonably quickly - but - so do Yates and Walker.

I expect my Aussie ex-NRL and GF winner? to be ripping it up far more than Walker or Yates. He should be the best prop at the club and he isn’t. He’s not as good as Scruton, Simon or Arona and not even close to England.

If you want mediocrity from your imports, Anderson seems to be your man. Sad thing is he could be a huge asset as he has it all for a prop. Compare him to Duncan McGillvery, a player with no obvious super powers but who for my money was one of the best imports we’ve ever had. Why, because apart from a few nice touches he gave 100%, led by example and lifted the team and that alone made him worth a quota spot.

Anderson needs to up his game or be replaced IMHO., Miller has done it so I live in hope.

End of sermon.

Looks like a very strong line up on paper. Without wanting to sound too horrible, I hope your loss against the Rhinos was the start of the usual Hull slump. I'd be happy if it does only last one more game!

Enjoy the day out, should be a cracker!

They have a great roster - but Hull do seem to be a club capable of delivering significantly less than the sum of its parts; let's hope that Sunday is one of those occasions.

I wasn't at the game at the KC but was told we weren't a million miles off Hull that night. Unable to cross the line being the problem coupled with some poor decisions against us. Should be nearer them on Sunday. 5 SL wins in a row compared to last year would be dream land.

I was there and we weren't that far off. After our recent run it should be a good game.

You were not far off - but that night was 2 awful sides. We were totally devoid of confidence and it was a win we had to get, no matter how scrappy.

We both look to be playing more attacking rugby, so should be a belter

I see some stadium snobs are out in force again - from fans of a club scrounging off a football club. icon_rolleyes.gif
