I am of the opinion that JJ could do a 'Johnstone' and shine in this team, my opinion is that Lynn offers little/nothing to the team. Thoughts????

I am not saying that Lynne is the best three quarter to have graced the red ,white and blue, but why is he so consistently 'picked on ' by so many fans.
One of the Saints' tries occurred when Johnstone was 'sucked in' and the winger had a 'walk in'.
Now if that had been Lynne he would be demonised.
Three coaches have consistently picked Lynne, so its seems they have all been incorrect in their assessment of Lynne .

Lynne is vilified because he consistently puts in below average performances. Yes Johnstone is prone to the odd defensive lap and I couldn't expect anything else for a young lad, on the other hand though he does so much more going forward. I don't nor have I ever rated Lynne too highly. He appears to be one of the ones playing for the wage not the badge!!! Yes JJ is young but he could shine he seems to be hungry!!!

Lyne, while not being a world beater is doing as well most of his team mates and better than some.
When the pack is getting battered every week, with plenty of tries coming down the middle, why would dropping Lyne will make a scrap of difference.

If you are screaming for a change, I'd put young Jowitt at FB and move BJB on to the wing but, with how we are going at present, we would still be getting done up the middle

I'm ok with Lyne.
He's done a decent job without being great (or even very good)
Opportunity is the main thing though.

Other areas to worry about before him.

I've been a big critic of Lyne buts he's been solid so far so leave him to it - it's fullback and the halfbacks that need looking at.

Oh and some of the forwards need a kick up the proverbial!

Lack of a top quality half back and the pack not making the yardage and defensively frail is the problem.

May be the pack need hypnotherapy to get the belief they can compete? icon_wink.gif

The centres are a bit ordinary as well.

The best quality Lyne has is his consistency. He was crap when he came into the team, he is crap now and i have no doubt he will be crap in the future. Lyne and Araundal wouldn't strike fear into the heart of Dot Cotton. Perhaps the worst players i have had the "pleasure" to watch in a Trinity shirt. Hapless hopeless heartless.

As said by others before Lynne has performed better than others in the 17 and Trinitys problems aren't on the wings. They are in the middle with the pack that struggles to make yardage and tackle and a rudderless attack at half back.

Halfbacks are the worst I have seen in 60 years of watching wakefield .lyne not half as bad as some of the backs I have seen.

Lynn I gave him the benefit of the doubt but last year that was my last chance I give him he's got a heart size of a pea. Just average I'm afraid

He's certainly no world beater but him and Johnstone are probably the only outside backs who have shown some drive. They've certainly shown more than some forwards.
