| Fev 18 Wakefield 10, hope the second half is a lot, lot better! Featherstone showing what enthusiasm means and should be further in front..

Getting pushed off in the tackle on numerous occasions, no support, ridiculous offloads, just dying with the ball instead of pushing forward...
We haven't got a first choice team out but you can at least try to do the basics!

| Our kid has gone, says it is mostly fringe players and playing uphill in first half with not much ball.
Don't have a problem with this, BS will gain more from what's happening, than if we had gone with a full first team and beaten Fev.

It's a friendly. I'm sure BS has a lot more positives from it.

| So it begins, a game and a half into pre-season matches.
It’s going to be another long year.

| Thought we did ok with quite a few young lads in. Ref didn't give us much either. Tansey finally smacked one into bottom right hand corner which was crying out for most of 2nd half. Fev looked knackered 10 mins into 2nd half and our kids looked really fit .

| Sounds like they came good against probably a good Featherstone side.
So, that's two away matches played and two won - bloody rubbish!

| If this exercise has given players a run out without injury and allowed BS change to see what fringe players need to focus upon before they meet competitive opposition then all has been achieved. We need to remember that we have had a lot more players in than is ideal.
I would rather a loss and give players opportunities to show what they can and cannot do than a meaningless win.

| As soon as we gained some ball and looked after it, we were ok but, it took 60+ minutes to start to play.
Great for the rest of the squad to get a run out and Hall did well to create a score in the 2nd half and Well done to Jowitt to score the winner (the grounding might have gone t=to the VR if there had been one though ).
Much credit to Fev, who were certainly up for the game and probably a bit unlucky not to get something from the game.
Child was absolutely awful, as bad as any ref in living memory

| We didn't really have much at half back (which is a lesson itself) which meant we simply ran it in for 6 tackles but at least we stuck at it.
But I really liked the look of Walton. Ran strong and looked very keen.
Jowett needs confidence but can play when he gets the chance. I like him.
England was only on for a little bit but he looks the part for me.
As a whole though, they looked like a team on their first run out.
Molloy and Tupou looked knackered after their stints.
I'm happy with Howarth covering hooker. He's really stepping up.

Tansey, Lyne, Gibson and Jowitt. Tansey with the goals.
