I'm happy with that. I'd like a first choice centre in front of him but he had a good attitude and improved under Smith.
He is in front of Lyne and based onlast year, in front of Hall too (though he has the potential if he decides to use it)

Im amazed by this. Not been impressed at all. A centre that cannot run, cannot pass. May aswell have a traffic cone there. He would not stand out in the championship. Waste of money and time

Must admit I am disappointed by this one

Really disappointed by this. I've not seen Arundel do one thing to suggest he deserves any contract let alone a 2 year contract. 2 tries and 2 assists in 21 games and a general demeanour to suggest he didn't at any stage want to bend his back or get involved. Averaged 70 metres. There won't be many outside backs in the division made less! To put it in perspective, even Craig Hall averaged over 100!

We finished last season with 17 players signed up for this year. This was the perfect opportunity to recognise how truly awful we had been, how lucky we had been, and start over. Joe Arundel is the very barometer for accepting mediocrity.

Complete waste of money.

The way we keep retaining players baffeles me we won 3 times v super league clubs lost twice to championship clubs. Arundal didnt deserve a 2 year contract hes been pants all season we need new fresh blood apart from players like shulver and morrise who never played super league

The problem is, this area was vulnerable last year as we had no cover at all.
If we sign Pomeroy, having a him and Gibson as starting centres with Arundal as back up is much better than we'd had till now. Lyne can do what he likes as there has been no one to take his place.
I also wonder whether this means we are going to try and off load Hall.

Hall has the ability and Lyne hasn't, unfortunately, whether his heart in it or his injuries had a bearing on his first season who knows. I do think Lyne does try, he just isn't a centre. I have said for a couple of years with Lyne, for me its the wing, or nothing.

Maybe, with a full pre season, Smith will identify his best opttion, but I would offload one of these. I would go stick with Hall, purely for his ability and kicking options

Mediocre performances at best. This is the first signing thats left me a bit flat. Hope the next one is much better as this wont help with season ticket sales

FFS utter garbage. I was hoping we were going to get rid of the rubbish not signing them up.......for 2 years!!!! laughable deal...why 2 years? its not like anyone ....anywhere ...would want him. Jesus Christ that has absolutely astonsihed me...i am amazed some on here think its a good signing?...my god what have they been watching.

"Joe Arundell is the very barometer for accepting mediocrity".........absolutely correct. terrible news for the fans. ffs that is the worst signing in recent history....still miles behind giving Agar a 3 year deal based on a total balls up of an attempt at coaching the club....still its gone well for him at the wire and France looked like they were really playing for their coach.

Tell you what he might not be the best centre in the world but he will play anywhere

I hope to god he was very very cheap. Signings like this swallowing up our available wage funds is just not right.
I was hoping we would be saying thanks for your efforts Joe, I'm sure you do well in the Championship; and unless Richard Owen miraculously comes back twice as fast and strong I fear these are the 2 Cas rejects that will hinder us the most.
