What is the point of having an 8000 capacity stadium? To have any worthwhile future is SL 10000 is a minimum requirement.

8,000 capacity new stadium is better than what we currently have.

I have my reservations though:
The location isn't a great one and if we build a two sided 8,000 capacity stadium I fear it will be a pretty soulless uninviting stadium that fails to create the atmosphere needed to create a crowd boost a la Hull FC and Warrington.

Please clarify 8'000 seated stadium .on two sides built on Newmarket by 2017 is this correct ??

Surely the thread is relevant as the 8000 capacity stadium at Newmarket is the current proposal put forward by the Trust, although Yorkcourt etc have not yet agreed to the proposal.

I'm worried we have weakened our hand by being willing to take a reduced plan and it also being rejected. I think we should have stood our ground but i accept that the people involved know more about the situation than i do so i trust their judgement. Seems to give our opponents another stick to beat us with now though, as does the reduction in RFL minimum standards.

If you read it fully, the club and the trust have the option of moving the current north stand and flats to NM therefore increasing the number to ? How many does the north stand hold?

This would get messy and why the hell would we want to take the horrible benidorm flats up with us?
12,000 is the signed completed deal.

Although the Benidorm flats are a bit of an eyesore, they are a purpose-built hospitality suite and sponsors box facility, and beggars can't be choosers !
