LOOKING FOR ACCOMMODATION IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA //www.orlandovilla.org.uk:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_22151.jpg

As you are all aware Belle Vue does not belong to the Club but is owned by the Bank of Ireland/Receiver with the Club paying rent to play there.

There is a risk that the Receiver could sell the ground which already has planning consent for housing which would leave us “homeless” and put the whole future of the Club in jeopardy.

Consequently the Supporters Trust, with the Clubs agreement, has applied to the Council to have Belle Vue listed as an “Asset of Community Value”. This would mean that the ground could not be sold without the knowledge of the Trust and the Community would be given a 6 month option to buy the ground and keep its use for the benefit of the Community and secure the future of Wakefield Trinity. The Manchester United Supporters Trust have successfully got Old Trafford listed.

The Council considered the application and have deferred the decision because they wish to see evidence of support for the listing from the community/supporters. We have therefore set up an e-petition on the Councils web site and we urge all supporters to sign the petition. It can be found at :

mg.wakefield.gov.uk/mgEPetitionD ... ID=1456193

To sign the petition all you have to do is click the link and then Register and Sign the petition.

There is a great deal going on with Newmarket/Belle Vue at the moment but it is of a sensitive and confidential nature at the moment so cannot be revealed on a public forum but we hope we can say something shortly. Signing the petition does not mean that redeveloping Belle Vue is the only option being considered. Both Newmarket and Belle Vue options are on the table but by supporting the petition will buy us time and at least ensure that the option of redeveloping Belle Vue remains.

Please sign the petition, get friends and family to sign and pass this information on to anyone you feel will be interested.

We only have a window of just over 3 weeks so can we please request that you act quickly.

This e-petition is of course about this specific issue, and we are of course grateful for everyones support in this, so thank you if you have signed.

As you also all know, we are currently working very hard and meeting with all parties involved, to finally get things moving on both potential options, and we hope to be able to tell you more soon. However, this e-petition will hopefully also serve as a timely reminder to those other parties, and particularly WMDC, the sense of strong feeling that a new stadium for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats be developed, either at Belle Vue or Newmarket! So please get signing, it takes less than a minute!

Its on the Supporters Trust facebook page and the Northstanders page and our Twitter account.

Dont know how to put it on WTW facebook page and Twitter but I'm sure Michael Carter could get someone to do it.

100 signatories already in 1.5 hours. Thanks to all who have signed but lets keep them coming and show the strength of feeling on this.

150 now.

What happened to the covenant that says the land must be used as a ground for the club, unless a suitable alternative is provided?
