Thought I'd kick off a thread where we can discuss possible transfer targets for the coming season., I'd like to keep it realistic if we can!

Please try to add some reasoning for your suggestions rather than just posting a random name, a bit of back ground on the player, why he might be available and why we could use his talents in the team.

I'll kick us off

Martin Kennedy from the Brisbane Broncos
Looks surplus to requirements after the Broncos signed Melbourne prop Mitch Garbutt and could look to rebuild his career in the SL after injury ruined what looked like a great 2013/14.

He was travelling reserve for Queenslands SoO team until his injury prevented him from taking up the role.

25 years old standing 6'3" and weighing 18st 7lbs so has the size and pedigree to be a great acquisition, I think he's also a former team mate of Scott Anderson from his time at the Broncos.

James Webster has openly spoken about adding some really big size and power to the team for next year and Kennedy certainly brings that.

I agree but if we don't commit to signing a big dominant front row we will not see the best of Tim Smith!

When we're on the front foot Tim Smith looks like the best half back in the league but when we're not he looks like one of the worst.

Kennedy only joined Brisbane this season from the Roosters so not an former teamate of Anderson. Very good player who i would love to get here.

Lopini Paea the prop from Catalans is a rumour going around. He's out of contract and had a couple of injuries i think but would add some bite to the front row.

Before we get too deep, can anyone explain the situation as to the loanees, ie which are staying and which are not. Then we can get a clear pitcher along with the known contracted players as to the current and future team.

As far as we know at present only 5 of yesterday's team will be here next year which is amazing when you consider how well they've played in recent weeks.

Lyne - signed
Riley - loan
Sykes - off contract
Smith - loan
Raleigh - retiring (thanks Andy)
McShane - signed
Scruton - signed
Kirmond - signed

Wildey - off contract
Lauitiiti - off contract
Tautai - leaving for Wigan
Moore - leaving for Bradford

Not playing yesterday
Godinet - signed
Ryan - signed

Mathers - off contract
Molloy - off contract
D Smith - signed

I think we'll sign a maximum of 9 players to add to that squad but more probably just 8.

Likely retention are Lauitiiti / Owen / Keinhourst
Meaning just 5 or 6 more signings, so back to the original topic of potential Signings for next year

Thanks The Avenger, didnt realise just how fluid it all is, hope M/C and the rest are busy because i think we should be further down the line than this. I am sure they are talking to many players but going back to the original thread it would appear we do need to be looking at most positions not as i first thought prop forwards. Hope we are not waiting for money coming in from season tickets.

Trout and Anakin are signed til 2015.
Maybe if the squad is trimmed, these two may get more game time.
