| After what we've seen recently we now have a 2 week break before the Hull game.
Who can we expect back fit? Collis? Lynne? Kirmo? TT?
If any if these are fit, who gets dropped? Reports from both sets of fans suggest Walshaw went well - will he keep his place? How did Molloy go - I've seen no reports? And do we persist with Sammut at FB, which, if other players are fit, could mean Mathers making way?
We have time now to do some physical stuff, then freshen up before thus game (so do Hull mind), so are we likely to see a big effort which normally comes in these games?
At the moment I cannot decide whether to go or not, it may come down to the selection of the 19 at the time, but I certainly think players should be rewarded for good performances with keeping their place - which has not always been the case in recent years!

| From what I've read Walshaw came up with the goods and in my opinion should keep his place at centre, regardless of whoever else is fit. That, to me, is how you reward players and where the competition for places comes in.
I've backed Mathers on here on occasions and I say either play him at FB or drop him. Thing is if you drop him altogether your left with Sammut at FB and I think he's better at No 6.
Kirmond, Collis and Tautau when fit are such quality players that they have to play.

Even if you know that it still leaves Agar plenty of wiggle room to come with his crazy permutations.
I also agree with rewarding good performance but Agar prefers to persist with rewarding poor performance.
So its your call matey but I won't be going over to Hull.

| If Walshaw is dropped for Lyne after that performance then Agar is a bigger fool then anybody ever thought. And once again Washbrook was dire yesterday. So with Agar saying that everyone bar ali should be fit in two weeks time then danny boy should be no where near the squad. We shall see.

| Bearing in mind the success of it over the weekend I think we should all be going in Grim Reaper fancy dress.

| Wak shaw went really well yesterday but I think he looks more like a back rower these days than a centre and think he has earned a shot at playing there. I would even play him in the front row ahead of both scruton and Anderson on current form.
Would be good to see tautai and collis and kirmond back because yesterday they worked hard but offered very little in the way of flair.

You are Richard Agar and I claim my £5.
Why would anyone move a guy who has just had a stormer at centre to prop?!

Anderson had suspected cracked ribs, but has carried on playing. He was excellent before the injury so lets not pick him out when he is probably holding it together to support the team.
Scruton has been better but even so, Walshaw is not a better prop.
Back row is busy. Walshaw showing up well in centre does not make him a certainty for second row. He should keep centre if he is good enough. I wouldn't drop Ryan for him.

Absolutely agree, utterly bizarre logic or weird dogma from said poster.
We have loads of S/R's. In Walshaw we have a big strong destructive Centre who can tackle - and a centre is what he has been most of his career.
Any other club would have had him in the centre a year ago. In Australia Walshaw would be considered a centre until he was about 25 then he'd move to the pack. Agar is happy to waste a player on a position we are well stocked and not use said player in a position he knows well.
To say Walshaw is more of a S/R than a Centre is tosh as every time he plays centre he looks bob on.
If Walshaw lack a bit of pace put a speedy winger on his outside - Riley or Lyne would do but we'd probably get Mathers.

| We can expect another thumping and it will happen again and again until agar is removed. Walshaw is a country mile ahead of Vera always has been and always will be. Why has Vera been played week in week out is testament to Agars coaching abilities. Couldnt tackle a sunday dinner that kid.

I think Lynne has tried hard this season and has been one of the better players (not hard I know) but I agree he's not as good as Walshaw.

| One problem is that if Collis is back (and properly fit) he is a certainty for the centre. Even before Walshaw?
I'm thinking Mathers was actually taking Collis's place and Walshaw was on other side.
So then the question is, to keep Walshaw and also play Collis, you have to drop Mathers or Siejka, and Lyne, Fox or Riley
It's a tough call on the wing. Each has his own problems. I like Lyne but he keeps making mistakes that seem like easy ones he shouldn't make. Fox is good when good but has not hit full stride this year and Riley is good enough without being flash. He takes the high ball, so I'm inclined to say he stays just to plug that normally glaring flaw for us.
Assuming Lyne can play on the other wing I'd go for this:
1) Sammut
2) Lyne (but maybe Fox!)
3) Collis
4) Walshaw
5) Riley
6) Sykes
7) Godinet
Siejka can spell at hooker when McShane runs out of puff.
I know I picked Sammut over Mathers, and Sykes at full back but for all I have been calling for him to be closer to the action, his position at full back is growing on me.
He has much more urgency that Mathers has, and is a great attacking strike player from there.
As long as Sykes can keep his levels up at stand off I think Mathers is the utility player for a while. Mathers clearly has great organisation skills but we are gradually getting that back so am thinking we stick this way from now on and give it a chance.
If Collis not fit then Mathers is back in.

You can be as logical as you want but with Nero in charge you're washing your breath.

| If a player comes in and does a good job they should start the following week. So Walshaw and Collis for me.
I haven't seen the stats but is Molloy any worse than Washbrook?
Don't think I would play Scrutton on reputation over current form.
