Playing with 16 men again. Clearly haven't learnt from last season...

He put Walshaw on at prop!!! then took him off after less than 10 minutes after he knocked on. Must have been trying to make him the scapegoat when Lyne has played 80 minutes and looked like neither a winger or a rugby player in every one of those minutes. Surely Agar must have seen that Lyne isn't up to scratch by now?

On the face of it it sounds like a knee jerk thread but Agar is still only an assistant coach at best.

+1 from me.

Lyne made that ridiculous knock on that led to a try, but other than that he was one of your best players imo. Carried the ball strongly when clearing his line, not his fault you couldn't manufacture 1 single opportunity to give him the ball.

I thought your worst was Godinet. He seemed capable of making a mess of even the simplest of plays, and his kicking game was even worse, not that we got to see many kicks given all the knock ons

As for Agar, the similarities between this Wakefield team and the Hull team of 5 or 6 years ago is striking. Agar is obviously still making the same mistakes and I think if you don't pull the trigger soon it might be a long season.

Surely it's about the 56th? In the league anyway. To be fair tonight there were so many individual errors it's hard to blame Agar but I'm not optimistic about what we face this season

Can't blame Agar for the individual errors made tonight however I don't and never have rated him as a head coach. I'd replace him tomorrow but there are two issues. One we couldn't afford to sake him (2 year contract extension? WTF?) and two who is available who could replace him. As a punt Morrison could've been an option, at least one would imagine some of the home grown kids would get a fair chance under his stewardship. I just hope Walshaw isn't going to get 'Cowlinged'.

Agar in for me, and if he's out who do we replace him with? Can we afford to pay him off?

Come on people, lets be realistic.

Wonder what it will take to bring JD or GM back? At least they would motivate the players as they understand the club, Agar has always been the wrong person ever since he set foot through the door. So many fans didn't want him in the first place but no, the club back then didn't listen to the fans. How he has treated Cowling, Kaye, matty Wildie and even Dale Morton and James Davey is nothing short of despicable. Lyne is crap everyone else can see it but he can't. As for his post match interviews he says the same thing over and over again that someone could Agar bingo.

I LOVE WAKEFIELD TRINITY WILDCATS..... AND FOR ME THERE IS NO BETTER TEAM IN THE SUPER LEAGUE TO FOLLOW!!!!!:

So Agar who is only the 3rd coach to get us to the playoffs with a makeshift side (all be it with a little luck) is 2games into a new season with a team put together in a month maybe 2 month having 3 of those players arrive less than a fortnight ago and already playing 2 games in a new country with a completely different climate/conditions and a 4th player to come in and try fit into a squad that MAY of had 3 days prep for the 2nd game needs to leave?????

I see your point I'll sharpen my pitchfork

2nd game in 4 days and we should have freshened it up a little.
Anderson, Godinet and Ryan all played 6 days after stepping off the plane with only a couple of training session with the rest of the team then have to back up again 4 days later. Sammutt brought into team after probably 2 or 3 sessions with team.
Last night should have been a chance to give Wild ie some time and probably Rich Moore. They have trained with the team all winter and should at least know the plays.

Even if you had to play the team we did last night, having to start one way then move 3 players around positionally to accommodate Sammutt coming on makes no sense to me.

Gutted that we've now lost 2 games that were in theory winnable, given the importance of this season that is massive.
Next up is Wigan away and even if they're still jetlagged they'll destroy a team that performs like we did last night.
Then Catalans at home which is tricky but is now a MUST win.
Then London away. What's the betting we break their duck (again)

Utterly depressed so I'm off to work now.

How many times did Agar knock the ball on and how many penalties did he give away ?
Sorry folks, I don't think we should bag the coach for this one.
Our discipline was poor but, the handling was shocking.
What was our completion rate, 30-40% ?
Until we can complete our sets, we wont win any games.
We appeared to suffer more than Bradford, from the quick turnaround in fixtures but, those calling for Agar's head need to have a quiet word with themselves.

The game was awful, between 2 poor teams but, we need to support the coach and the players and the club and not throw the teddy out, just because we've had a bad game.

Agar will never deliver anything other than disappointment.....agreed he cant be blamed for dropped balls and penaltys etc, but the bloke couldnt do anything at Hull with unlimited funds and some of his recruitment is a joke. He has no time for the young kids and has all but cleared out some very good kids produced by the club. He will go for the second rate Aussie every day of the week.
As for getting rid...not a chance !! while ever Hetherington is here that wont happen, they were calling for his head for 3 years at Hull and it was only when Pearson came in that it happened....also to give him a 3 year contract....that says it all really...he is here to stay get used to it !

Whether Agar is your choice of coach or not he was NOT to blame for last nights defeat! Just about the whole team underperformed!
How the hell can you coach it into a player to prevent a try like the last Bradford try - schoolboy errors by THE PLAYERS!
The team looked like they didn't know each other.
One or two of the imports didn't look sharp enough but I will be more concerned if we've played 6 lost 6. No panic yet lets hope last nights match was the worst performance of the season - and all teams have those.
