| I love a conspiracy theory as much as the next bloke but can't quite put my finger on this so here goes.
Why was the game called off at 11am instead of 4pm? Why such haste? I can only base my assumptions on Normanton but at 4pm there wasn't any snow whatsoever on the streets, ok it started again very fine snow about five but come 7pm there was nothing like snow on the ground, 8,000 milling about on the terraces would have negated that! Today the club are asking for volunteers to clear this abundance of snow that we've had overnight, much much more than yesterday, why did they not ask for volunteers yesterday?
This is where my conspiracy theory falls down, I can't really see what they got from it, is it that Tim Smith etc had two more days recuperation? Was it to avoid using floodlights for the cost (CCJ's)? We're the club cynically thinking that a postponement and selling tickets (to the Friday night Leeds fans) plus changing back to a Sunday game would get us a capacity crowd? Are the club hoping for another postponement tomorrow to put back the game a few months in the hope our injured players are all back for the Cas then Hull games?
It all seemed far too hasty in my eyes and talking too Wakey fans last night all were baffled by the postponement !
Tin hat on!,

| Would agree , but I live about half a mile from BV & Barnsley Rd had a good covering when I looked out about 9.30 ish - so could of been chaos when the crowd was leaving .
Seemed a very early decision to call it off though .

| Think the club made the right decision. They looked at the forecast which was for heavy snow at game time time and it was spot on. The game would have been played in a blizzard and the roads were well covered at 9.30pm so as Spongebob has said it would have been caos getting everyone away after the game.
4.00pm would have been too late to call the game off. Hospitality was sold out so the caterers would have had to have been setting up to serve the meals and if it had then been called off there would have been substantial abortive costs which if we had incurred there would have been plenty on here quick to criticise.
In my opininion no conspiracy just using a bit of common sense and looking at the forecast.

| So clubs now postpone games on a weather forecast?
Is it the clubs problem how the speccis get home? I doubt it, as for the snow during the game, that wouldn't have had chance to settle.
I give you this as my game breaker, if the game had been on SKY, would it have been postponed?
No it certainly wouldn't!

I can't beleive you're seriously arguing that point when it was a white out last night. The markings would have disappeared before the end of the game!

That's my argument, it wasn't till what would have been half time.......So if it had been on SKY would it have been played?
