Not knocking his performances 1 bit but id like to see him questioning decisons for once even if its only to slow the game down and give out players a breather a bit like sinfield does. A few times yesterday he could have questioned the inconsistancy in decisions but instead stood back.

Sinfield is the only SL player who is a qualified ref, hence his special dispensation to have an ongoing dialogue with the ref and, where he feels necessary, to correct his mistakes.

Wellens does it, dobson was a bit too ott when they came to town, but it gives the defence extra recovery time. It might be just one of those things that only annoys me i dont know.

No I don't think he did,had ice on his knee at full time ( may have been the difference for the extra 2 points if he played the 80)I agree with the questioning of decisions though,he'll learn in time hopefully.

When people talk about our sport needing two ref's nowadays it seems old news as Leeds came up with the idea years ago with the ref's having to concure decisions with the teflon don himself.

Still, excellent effort from him to deny Ferres a score in the first half. Not seen it brought up anywhere else yet. A captain leading by example there.

Kirmo is a superb captain. He leads by example in attack & defence. I'm glad we've not got a player that has the audacity to question refs, even when they're wrong.

The ONLY thing I admire about RFU is the manners the players show to refs.

Talking back to refs can cost you yards & rightly so. In my view it only adds to ill discipline.

Would much rather see a captain produce a rib tickler that raises the fans & his players, but maybe I'm juts old fashioned like that.

I spotted him too. Yes Kirmo could converse with the ref but Mathers has usually beat him to it.

Isn't Mathers vice captain, which in Kirmond been off the field made him captain? Can't say I've noticed him do it too much other than yesterday when Kirmond was off the field
