Personally, I've been eager for us to resolve the Mathers situation and now we have - so great news.

I'm also glad its confirmed- it has been rumbling along for a while now. Glad to see another player signed up adding more continuity to the side

Last years squad, despite coming together quite late and having a mixed first half of the season, were performing superbly at the end of the season and made the Champions work hard to progress in the play-offs.

Rather than see another set of wholesale changes, we had all hoped to see some continuity with the addition of the odd signing or two to lift us up a little. The players we had obviously get on well together, work hard and there is mutual respect between the players and the club - why would anyone want to change that? Mathers was part of this and a fairly big part tbh.

All clubs have a certain mixture of abilities within them, but you need players to function as a team and this should not be overestimated imo.

Not much left to do now to complete the squad, but would like to know the outcome of those rumoured to be leaving!

Agree, It seems no matter how you tell the good news some people won't be happy.

It's great that we've been able to keep just about everyone from last year, only losing Johnson and so far adding Poore, it's exactly what was needed.

Good signing, happy to got him on board for two years, I do think though (knowing what we are all like for jumping the gun!!!!) that AG should be careful not to over egg the pudding with this tweeting lark, I know it's probably only a bit of fun for him and JE but he is in danger of looking like a double glazing salesman!!!!

wow! i will keep my season ticket money in my pocket.This isnt special mathers wont fill the stadium.he is ordinary at best.sorry andy this doesnt do it.Hope there is something more to come out.
